After all this time, it still remains a straight downgrade to Horizons, performance and optimisation is worse, on-foot content is barebones and forgettable, not to mention repetitive and unrewarding. The only two pros you get with Odyssey that I can think of off the top of my head are a nicer UI, and some neat outfits for your pilot, both of those things which could seemingly easily be placed into Horizons, but both of those things, as it stands, absolutely feel like paywalled content, and are nowhere near enough to excuse the unpolished mess that is Odyssey, please do not waste your money on this.

At the time of writing there is only chapter one out, but as far as I can tell, Hussie is tapping into some of the old magic he once harnessed before toblerone-ing his last endeavour into the ground.
I like it, it's not awfully long, unless you're a slow reader, but what is here is a very solid and interesting introduction into whatever is to follow.

Here's hoping he ignores the fans this time around when it comes to shaping the plot, if he hasn't got it all written down yet.
