Good sandbox but definitely not as good as Boneworks. It feels like they saw that Boneworks was being carried by it's mods. So they made a game with a terrible campaign and just made it easier to mod. But I feel like the reason I stayed for the mods is because the rest of the game is great. But in the end it doesn't matter that it's not as good as Boneworks because Boneworks isn't on quest and that's their entire player base that they were catering to while making it. It's all right but it's basically the same game with a few tweaks, nothing ground breaking but still recommend it!

I wasn't sure about this game when I bought it, but I instantly loved it after playing it. This game is very in-depth for a 2Dish zombie survival game. The game has been developed for over 10 years and it shows in its complexity and content. What it lacks in polish is made up by the amazing modding community providing quality of life improvements, fixes, tweaks, new weapons, map extensions and even new features that can completely change how you play the game. There are also so many options to tweak the game to your liking. The only unfortunate part is the multiplayer. In its current state it's awful. It's buggy, desyncs frequently, finding and setting up a server is a total nightmare and PvP is clunky. Even with multiplayer being nearly unplayable I still very much recommend this game.
Really excited for Project Zomboid to lose Labor of Love to Terraria again!
