This is one of the best time sink (in a positive way) games I've played in a long time.

10/10 would pee myself in the club again. An also ingame.

My friend gifted me The forest a few years ago, and it was the game that made us start talking to each other over voice rather than text. We had an absolute blast and annihilated the entire tree population, so I *had* to gift this one to him and, oh man, it was a good decission.

This game is still in progress and already has more content and possibilities than the first one. The devs keep reading people suggestions and adding really cool stuff that wasn't even close to possible before, plus expanding the map by adding and/or reworking caves (One of the coolest things to do in these games).

I haven't started another new game yet, so I can't say much about the story since me and my friend played it on a very early build, but we can't wait to do so.

If you enjoyed the first game, you're gonna enjoy this one. Absolutely recommended.

144 hours into the game. I've unlocked all the build pieces and I'm almost done building a cool looking base. Can't wait to finish it so I can start the main quest.

Easily one of the most fun I've had playing a game with my friend, who gifted it to me. Your plane crashes and you need to find your way out into a wild island.
You have plenty of options to build whatever you want as long as you have imagination, and the freedom to place the blueprints is incredible, plus finding all the secrets in the island gives you a reason to survive one more day.

Oh, also you can save your son. If you want. That's cool too I guess.

If you're a collector, this game is for you, since you'll have to craft/get every weapon and equipment piece to fulfill your mental illness and feel less dead inside.
Jokes aside, the game has a deep and interesting lore, one of the best communities I've ever seen, hundreds of hours to complete everything, and it seems it's gonna keep getting updates for a long, long while.

On top of that, add everything being completely free, and you'll get easily one of my favourite games. Totally recommended.
