I'm currently trying to make my way up from 5 ref to an unusual, in my own paste. I'm doing this to prove for new traders, that getting an unusual isn't an impossible task, even if your backpack is worth only half a dollar.
Day 1 (the 9th of November) I'm starting off with just 5 ref.
Day 5 (13th of November) I'm at 32 ref.

---Pause from the 17th of November to the 2nd of December---

Day 25 (3rd of December) Trying to get moving again after a long pause, 42 ref
Day 30 (8th of December) Things have been going great the last five days, 90 ref
Day 35 (13th of December) This is great, 140 ref
Day 40 (18th of December) It's hard to find time to trade in the holiday season, 145 ref
Day 45 (23rd of December) Despite the holidays, I've been trading well, 160 ref
Day 50 (28th of December) Haven't had much time for trading the last days, 170 ref

--Pause from the 1st of January to the 14th of January--

Day 68 (15th of January) I've held a break for the last two weeks because I thought school was more important than trading (silly me) But the first thing I got when I came back was an unusual! It took me a bit over two months, but it was a lot of fun. The unusual I bought was a Smoking Gym Rat painted black, for 10 keys pure (quicksell). I'm quite happy about the deal.
