Early Access Review
If a game is the best in it's genre but unplayable, it's still unplayable.

I want to like this game, but after failing for the 3rd time to make it past the 70s without any indication as to what exactly I'm doing wrong I can't. I have tons of fun designing cars, trying to tweak them, make them fit different market sectors, then immediately get frustrated and annoyed when my projected sales were completely off and I'm producing 3x more cars than there is demand for. The loan system is nonexistent, you can only take out construction loans or automatic bailout loans(Which are incredibly short leading to a death cycle). It's such a horrible simulator attached to an excellent car development tool

Cons:
-The save system feels like it's from a 1988 text based school game
-After 10 years of early access it's still missing key features
-Very unoptimized and struggles to simulate some parts
-The 'tutorial' is a youtube video of an outdated version of the game
-Anything outside building cars or car factories is obscured
-Trying to understand market share and how many cars you should produce is impossible
-No proactive warning of major market changes like upcoming safety/emissions standards
-Completely fails to realistically model real life auto industry development

Pros:
-It's by far the best auto factory sim around
-The actual car development and design is fantastically done
-Trying to convert muscle era engines to pass malaise era emissions standards is a very fun challenge
-Wide array of models of car to choose from

Coming fresh to the series but familiar with older gold games (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 & others) I must say this really captures the nostalgia of being a pro golfer once again. For the first in the series published by 2K it is a great base, but not without its flaws.

The Pros:
+++ The golfing itself is a wonderful experience, with the base average difficulty being extremely intuitive and welcoming to players. Playing with an Xbox controller it feels native and smooth.
++ Societies is a nice online function, and provides a lot of content once you finish with the albeit short PGA career mode.
+++ The course designer is a great tool, and while most probably won't use it it makes for great content, with the ability to play courses others have made.
+ The club and clothing selector is another amazing feature that helps make each PGA journey unique. You can be anything from a cautious short driver to a balls to the wall Long John Daly.

The Cons:
--- As stated previously the career mode is considerably lacking. There are a nice number of courses there are a few classics missing such as St Andrews, Pebble Beach, and Augusta, which leads to a lacking feeling. Hopefully they can get more tournament and course rights in for following games.
-- The rivals system is a linear and boring storyline instead of being dynamic and interesting. I was fighting with Shane Lowry for the points lead while in a 'rivalry' with Kevin Kisner.
--- The career itself becomes a bit of a slog after a certain amount of time. Learning the game on the standard difficulty it felt like a challenge to make the cut for the tour, but soon after even with the opponent difficulty
- AI difficulty is a single setting compared to the depth of player assists that can be changed. I'd enjoy a bit more nuance that allows me to have more control over it.

The Verdict:
PGA Tour 2k21 is a fun game that has great content and mechanics. With the proper direction it will become another one in the list of amazing golf games. Pick it up even if it remotely interest you.

I've had this game since 2015, and it is by far my most played game on steam, and I've gotta say that for a "fully developed" game it's not bad. It's taken 6 years, 3 head developers, and millions of hours of playtesting but it's finally been put into a playable state. The new engine absolutely destroyed the faith of the playerbase after 18 months of no new updates but it's now much better.

Pros:
-Amazing movement mechanics
-Good or even great gunplay
-Amazing sound quality
-Modability of just about everything

Cons
-Wallblocking that hampers gunplay in close quarters
-Cars are still broken
-Trying to fall anywhere precisely is impossible
-A painfully slow server search and startup screen

The game really is an amazing experience and has provided me with many friends that I will never forget.

Trained awesome son and heir.

Typhoid ravages Kingdom.

Son dies, get left with awful heir.

Ruler becomes incapable.

11/10 would lead troops again.
