After taking a break from this game for almost 4 months I can say with confidence that I have never felt more at peace then I do now since the 3-4 years I've been playing this game. I would say that throughout my time playing I've probably played 60 percent of it as survivor and 40 percent as killer but there was a time maybe a year ago or more that I was playing only killer. I have many reasons for why I quit playing the game but I'd say the number one reason was that It simply became miserable to keep playing. Unfortunately I've wasted more time and money than I've ever put into any game in my life before and I'm never getting that back but If you are wondering if you should pick up this game or not or put more of your time and money into than you already have, I can strongly recommend not doing so.

Somewhere in the past 2-3 years this game has gotten more and more miserable to experience both as survivor and killer but I would honestly admit that for me personally killer was consistently worse to experience than it is for survivor. If you plan on just playing a few times a week with your friends especially the 2v8 game modes then maybe I could recommend playing this game but if you want something to play less casually don't get your hopes up because this game can be extremely frustrating to learn because it does a terrible job explaining to you even the most basic features that you'll need to know to have any chance of playing against someone who knows what they are doing or god forbid you run into a SWF who's not just trying to troll the killer and instead wants to actually win.

If I had to really narrow down though why this game became unfun to me. It would have to be because its no longer a casual experience. You can run non meta builds and killers etc. But most of the time everyone else you'll be playing against wont be which means your almost guaranteed to loose and even if you can have fun playing like that Behaviour will usually come in and ruin it with one of their "improvements". Another big problem I had especially closer to when I finally stopped playing was that even if I did win my matches it never really felt rewarding to me, it just made me anxious and stressed out since usually I had to completely lock in to win. The build variety is almost non existent anymore in practical terms, yes, you'll run into some variety but its extremely rare because once again most everybody is playing to win these days which basically forces you down the same path.

That's my rant about this game, now I did not mean this to be very precise with my logic/reasoning since I didn't provide many real explanations for what I said but I can just say that I hope the community remains terrible and Behaviour keeps pumping out brain dead updates so that I'll never have a reason to come back to this god forsaken hellscape. Basically I've lost all hope for this game and don't expect it to get any better as time goes on and I think (luckily for me) I've accepted that and have moved on to play what I believe to be better games that respect the players time and money more than what you get with the "Behaviour Experience".
