Why do we play? Do we play to ignore chores and bills? Do we play because the spouse is nagging? Do we play because we feel like failures? Society has said so for all of the above, we are lazy, we are failures, we will never amount to anything.

I think not. We play because we are passionate about the stories and the adventures we will experience. We play because we find friends with similar interests who are caring. We play because it can inspire us to take on our own creative mantle and make something no one else has thought of.
