I really enjoy this combination of bullet hell and tower defense. It has a great two player local coop that is my preferred way of playing with friends/family. Great voice acting and cut scenes bring the campaigns to life. Not a plot spoiler .. Nice twist of plot having the player acting as the invading alien life form like just the opposite of most other games from the original Galaxian or Space Invaders as winning means vanquishing human kind from their home planet earth -- one country/region at a time.

A relaxing "light show" - a medication movie. A fun and relaxing way to use VR headset.

Initially I liked the game mechanics and the challenge of fitting towers into the space provided. In the end I got bored of it. The game levels are very long (in order to build up enough wealth to purchase more expensive towers) but without the variety needed to keep my interest.

Too many bugs. Too annoying.

Second game I launched the hot keys didn't work. Third time I launched menu items remained on screen blocking my view. I played along as far as launching my third hero only to find that nearly every level was immediately impossible to defeat on the first pass (in other words it became a grinder) even after upgrading weapons and skills.

I've played this game off/on for several years and still find a good relief of stress. Some compare it to GTA and while it's still violent and has a great map with lots to explore it's different in that it has less language and less nudity and a cool grappling hook. Check "reality" at the door, this is no simulation.

Mech game with overhead view like StarCraft. Older style game play and graphics remind me of the 80's. Probably an indie developer and while the game doesn't have as much depth and replay-ability as on online style game it is fun, approachable, and rewarding. Graphics remind me of radar. There is no voice acting and all the music is simple electronic style. Worth a few dollars to play. (Unfair to compare with AAA titles.)

Love the game play, driving and shooting mayham. Love the steam punk/post-apocolyptic asthetic and the ability to build-your-own vehicles (ala Robocraft) although any building system has it's limitations (cabins and mount points). Great with a good set or speakers or good headphones.

If I have a complaint it's that the GRIND is real - largely because of the 10% tax on any trades. I don't begrudge the developers an income but they make it tempting to pay to upgrade. If you try to play the spread the only winner is the bank.

If you build parts for profit the price will drop by the time you have them ready to sell. An inventory cap forces you to either sell your parts cheap (or manufacture something you will later have to sell cheap) as you can't play unless you have room in your inventory.

My suggestion:
If you enjoy the game at any level enjoy where you are at and don't let yourself think that the game will be "more fun" if you had a better gun or a better cabin. When you get a better ride you opponents will also be upgraded and ready to "kill joy." So if you don't enjoy the grind quit now. If you get good your opponents will usually be higher power than you.

Early Access Review
I really want to like this game. But I find it hard to appreciate a game that doesn't have any "health management" becuase you can go from 100% to 0% health in less than 2 seconds. Sure it's shoot to kill and don't get hit like any other FPS but some characters are too OP. There is just no place for a "two shot kill" anywhere.

I just was looking for a fun casual racer. Instead I get a ♥♥♥♥♥ of a police sim with bad guys that respawn 200 yards away anytime you successfully pin them to the wall or roll their vehicle over. And that's just during tutorial! Try playing an actual senario and you can't too close to the action (or too far away). It's fun the kind of way being a Hollywood stunt man is .. do it right and someone else thinks Brad Pitt just did something cool while you get three seconds of screen time for several days work. Do it wrong and your dead! In this case you just get to do it over and over again until you're brain dead. Sorry, but if you're looking for a fun casual racer like I was you're in entirely the wrong spot.

Enjoying it's similarity to Kingdom Rush in the use of hero unit with special abilities and for the large mobs constantly attacking. My only confusion is with multiple units appearing in the same space (not riding but passing) making it difficult to identify and target individual units. However if you forced them to march in single file (like Super Monday Night Combat) then they couldn't overtake (or get overtaken) and get into a position to ride faster units and larger units.
I realize it's still a work in progress and appreciate the attention the developers are giving to fixing bugs that crash and balancing the game play. This game with provide you with fun casual play AND a real challenge if you want it to.
