amazing

this game, while amazing and beautiful, has completely and utterly ruined me. There were moments where i deeply regretted ever buying this game and then it had several more moments that made me love it. If you're looking for a casual, chill experience, be ready to travel through the paths of hell and question all that is holy.

Visually + Audio-Wise - Stunning, easily one of the best I've seen
Gameplay-Wise - I'd rather, and I'm not joking, slit my throat than ever play this stupidly hard game again. Add a difficulty slider for god's sake, don't make intentionally hard games.

Intentionally hard games that are designed to make you rage are NEVER good games. And this is one of them. Skill issue, Blah blah blah. I know. But my opinion still stands.

Visually - Stunning
Gameplay-wise - Terrible and frustrating.

Combat is terrible and many, MANY parts of the game had to be done through watching videos. I tried to enjoy this game.

what else is there to say that hasn't been said already

Compulsion has, once again, shown that they are terrifyingly good at story-telling and art-style, but not so much at gameplay.

Positives: Great storytelling, great artstyle and character design, great voice-acting and sound effects, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing soundtrack, decent level design

Negatives: Repetitive boss fights, often annoying combat, some puzzles were a pain to solve and one had to be solved using YouTube

Conclusion: The game is far, FAR from perfect. But it's also far from being bad, or the worst game of the year. I liked it. I recommend it.
