Sonic Frontiers let's us see Sega has learned from mistakes with past 3D Sonic games. It emphasizes Sonic's strengths, giving you a huge hub area as a playground, with tons of secrets to discover. Between these discoveries, you'll find thrones you need to activate to access more traditional Sonic levels. These levels are great so far, and they usually have a time to beat of around 1:30 minutes, which is very achievable and makes them a joy to retry to get better times. They have great music too! This game loop got me instantly hooked, and while I have only cleared the first island, I can say confidently that this is a right step forward for the franchise. It very obviously copied a lot of things from Breath of the Wild's world design, but I think Sonic fits perfectly, and being able to zoom across the map in seconds feels very rewarding.

The story tries to explore characters more in depth than other games in the past. It gives you several cut scenes of Sonic interacting with their friends and a lot of the story ones are animated really good, and are great for character development. I wouldn't call the story good, but it's serviceable.

Talking about bad points: The combat can feel very wonky, the dash can sometimes just send you flying off levels (as usual), and the camera can be sometimes atrocious. The pop in of objects in the map is insane, it can be very distracting at times. And while the voices are better than they were in the past, they can sometimes sound like a 4Kids 90's dub.

Having all these things considered, it's still a strong recommendation, and a great game so far. I can't wait to see how this new formula develops in the future.

Demeo is a fantastic game and a D&D fanboy's wetdream. The game looks, sounds and plays fantastic, but I'm going to have to not recommend it for now, since I've yet to finish a single full game. I've had 3 hard crashes mid game and a game where the key glitched and would not let us complete the level. It's super frustrating to be invested in a game and with random friends you found online, just for the game to crash and not be able to join again. The game finder is lackluster, the only way to play with randoms is either creating a game and waiting for someone to hopefully join you or doing a "quick match" which 80% of the time will join you with a party that lost a member due to a crash.

The game also only has 1 campaign at the moment, ONE. So you have probably a couple of hours of fresh, awesome content and then, well, nothing. They've already announced they're releasing a new campaign this summer, but to have the balls to release a game as a full release (it's not early access), have such a limited amount of content and no custom campaigns is kind of insulting.

Hopefully we get more content and a fix for all the crashes and bugs, because the game is a lot of fun, I hope I get to finish a full game some day.

Blue Fire is my dream game come true: 3D Zelda-like with heavy focus on precise platforming, with rift levels just like the ones in A Hat in Time. Combat is the weak point of this game, but fast movement, great level design and great sense of exploration more than makes up for it.
The best game I've played in 2021 so far!

The best Yakuza game, hands down. Also one of the best JRPG I've played in my life.
An unmissable experience for RPG lovers, even more if you love Dragon Quest.

Fun moba movement mechanics combined with an auto chess-like build hunting and battle royale elimination system makes this one of the most addicting and fun games I've played in the last few years. I only hope the community gets large enough so we can have a ranked system in there, would be awesome to see a competitive scene for this one!

The best Sonic clone out there, hands down. Probably even better than Sonic games themselves. The bosses can be quite repetitive and easy, but the stage design, music, and aesthetic more than make up for it.
Most fun I've had in a long while, super recommended!

Refreshing rhythm game completely focused on piano, really satisfying to play, there seems to be a huge difficulty spike in song 10, probably due to poor mapping on the song. Either way, great game with a lot of potential!

To devs: Release a track mapper and watch your game blow up!

I have probably played all the rhythm games released in NA in the last 15 years, and I can confidently say this one of the best. It's so easy to get into the zone, it has amazing tracks and the new track editor makes this must buy. Really, really excited to see where the devs take this game in the next few years!
