So I'm on my 2nd campaign mission and It's a victory point map,, I hate victory points as is but that is irrelevant. I have a victory point, the enemy has one and we're going back and forwards on the third. Pretty standard stuff you'd think... until I get retreated and told we'll do better next time.... after less than 10 minutes.... despite the fact that I had more points than the enemy.... Fix it please... this is buggy rubbish at the moment.

We all expect Bethesda games to be the equivalent of a buggy mess on release. Normally I would excuse this for the engaging story or other fun features... almost all of which I have found lacking. It has taken the less pleasant parts of settlement building from fallout 4 and made it even less pleasant. The characters are paper thin and almost completely forgettable and 90% of the locations are just downright boring or an excellent class in missed potential. The ship building... well I stopped trying because it makes very little sense and the lack of any real benefit to having multiple ships led to me just selling them.

That isn't to say that there aren't good parts... The gunplay is fun even with the poor AI pathfinding. Some of the more fleshed out worlds can be downright beautiful. The day night system is interesting and some of the side quests can be fun...

Honestly though.. with a quest now hitting a game breaking bug and the lack of any real character development and depth that has been present in competing titles has led to me dropping the game for the foreseeable. I hope Bethesda can get this game up to standard as there are some cool features... Not the starborn stuff though... couldn't give a rats about that or another playthrough with the game in its current state.

Update 20/09: Have tried a new playthrough. Completed the quest that gave me problems... and Have dropped again after the third time of trying to move a ladder out the way when building my ship. On top of this releasing the shattered space DLC when they still haven't sorted one of the main selling points... Finally Uninstalled and I probably won't be installing again.

Still crashing on me but for Early access I expected it... Having a blast with it!!!!!

Ambitious and potentially great... but oh god the dialogue.

*clears throat* HELL YES!!!!. If you've played through the previous dreamfall game this is a must. If you haven't, play the first game and get this one (otherwise you will feel a little lost). It refines and improves the mechanics from the previous dreamfall game immensley and is just so well written... can't wait for episode 2.

I recomend this game so hard
