Stellar blade review
Tldr: I would recommend this stellar blade if the price of the game was $15. Its not a bad game its not a good game either.

Okay my full thoughts on STELLAR BLADE
Is that the game is deceptive on how the marketing and ranting and raving about how good this game is despite the articles and reviews saying its a gooner game. I had seen that this game is a hack and slash so ill be comparing it to the three main hack and slash games DMC, NINJA GAIDEN and GOD OF WAR(originals not NU gow lol) and what I would say is that stellar blade isn’t a hack and slash its more of a parry slop…I was disappointed. That being said is the combat any good? Yeah it's not bad but don’t think it’ll want to test you. The game is generous with the amount of I-frames and the timing windows for parries or “perfect dodges” is also extremely generous. Most of the bosses are trying too hard to be cinematic and not video gamey as I like to consider it. The original hack and slash games had a respect for the player and fights and boss fights felt like I was playing a video game. Stellar blade feels like it wants to be an animated movie that you interact with. I would say that the interaction the game wants you to do isn’t even fun. As if that wasn’t bad enough the game doesn’t respect you or you’re time too many cutscenes or dialogue that even in NG+ doesn’t let you skip a lot of waiting in elevators staring at my characters ass I see why put so much time into outfits and ♥♥♥♥ like that the game knows that you’ll have to wait to go up the elevator sometimes its long ladders and what else do you the play have to do other than wait and stare at your character. I can understand why people will call this a “gooner game” when it does stuff like that. I mean compare it to Bayonetta or other games alike tend to respect you, the player and your time. I mean it's a playstation game but the makers are gacha game makers. They like to waste your time as the player and make you feel like you’ve done something when it's not much that you’ve done. I'll talk about the leveling and “rpg” elements in this game because like most things in this game it's kinda shallow. Stellar blade like do this funny thing where the game devs make the combat and its basics then locks you the player out of it making them buy them with levels so you can thank the dev like wow thanks for making so if the enemy does a purple or blue attack I can dodge it now. I think that is deceptive. The game locks the player out of basic attacks and dodges until you unlock them… better focus on getting them or the game is gonna mess with you. If I remember its call the IKEA EFFECT. The game will force you fixate on getting them through angering you.Stellar blade when compared to Nioh or dark souls or sekiro it falls short and shallow and comparing stellar blade to hack and slash games it falls short and shallow. One last thing about the game before I speak about the story shortly. The game when outside of combat just exploring the world is horrible. The gates everywhere and the codes felt like they wanted to pad out the game so I spent more time playing it feeling like I was doing something but all I was doing was being a monkey pulling levers to make it so I get small hits of dopamine until I reach a boss. Okay last bit. Was the story interesting… yeah I think so at least it could've been an anime or something to be honest lol. The game is like most current playstation games cookie cutter, safe, not challenging and meh it sucks to sucks to say the game feels like NU god of war but trying to appeal to cutesy anime people or gooners.
