I see many people wondering why this game and its successor get such good reviews.

This is the type of game which screenshots, videos and reviews just don't do justice.
The graphics, sounds and basic gameplay are all average when you look at them objectively.
But the amount of fun that can be had blasting giant bugs and various other beings with an insane arsenal of weapons and vehicles with other your friends (or strangers) is just immeasurable. And the hours will pass like minutes.

These games are one-of-a-kind and you really need to be in it to understand why they're so good.

So if you have doubts about the game from just looking at videos and screenshots, give it a go! You most likely won't regret it!
