This is the type of game where every single creature is your match, or stronger than you, at every encounter.
Not what I thought it was going to be.

Extremely slow, it feels like a slog.

Maybe it'll become something great, but right now, it's just not fun for me.

Is it fun? yeah.
Is it short? Yes. So very short.

You'll be finished with the game long before you have a castle built.
But for 15 bucks it makes for a decent weekend of gaming.

It's a pretty game, but even single player in a single-player world is runs atrociously.
Animation lag makes it feel horrible.
I'm getting near 200fps, but it feels like 20-30fps.

Checking reddit, this i seems to be a known engine limitation, but it feels SO BAD, and the devs haven't patched it out in nearly half a year.

There may be a good game here, eventually.
But it's not near ready.

As of now, it is short and not terribly engaging.
I hope that Glitch Goblins continues to work and refine it.

A fun little top down space game.

Visually it's STAR CONTROL.
Spiritually it's PRIVATEER.

I enjoyed it so much I bought the DLC within a week.
A steal at less than 10 bucks for the base game.

There's the bones of a really great game here.
I can even recommend it in its current state.

Management sims can be a dime a dozen, but this one has a charming art style, material loops that make sense, and the build ui is simple, but logical.

Just a little bit of cleanup will make this a long-term play for me.

Super Early Impression:
I love the fact that there's so much story in this game. It's a Lore-fest.

I DESPISE the fact that my character is a dough-faced, big-eyed, whiny tween named "Jayden" (blech).
The only thing this mewling twerp is missing, is Broccoli-Hair and a YouTube channel.
Good to know that in a thousand years, we'll still have basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ named Bryllin giving their kids stupid names.

Mech combat seems nice though, and the upgraded graphics are solid.

If the story stays good, I'll update this to a thumbs up.

A perfect followup to the first KCD game.
This takes place just a few short days after the conclusion of the first game.

Everything is a bit upgraded here, the combat is smoother, the graphics are more refined, even the music is better.
And best of all, POLEARMS are now in-game.

Like PoE1 but better graphics and story.
New playable characters.
A slower, more tactical version of Exile. Bosses HURT, and you need to play smarter and less spam-tastically.

A short, but fun, bit of NES nostalgia.
Blaster Master was always dear to my heart when I was a kid, and this sequel nails the feel of those days.

Best played with a controller.
