Honestly liked what I've played of it (Got a bit stuck on the school level due to a lack of ability to save at all in that level)

But after learning of Dwyer (also known by Orouboros or Snaketicus)'s opinion on fans of other indie darlings that use gritty "low tech" graphical styles (who just so happen to be of a certain marginalized community currently being attacked in a useless culture war) I cannot recommend supporting the team making this game even if the other 2 people don't share those views.

I have minimal playtime on this but that's just because I initially played it through the Humble vault, this is without a doubt one of the best games I have played and would 100% recommend it even at full price.

Chungus Odyssey 2 is the greatest game ever

Overall the game has definitely improved compared to how it was even a year ago. Some stuff is definitely still a little messed up (Give me my tech tree research bonus on new vehicles ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!) But overall the game is in a good enough state that I would at the very least recommend getting to rank 2 in whatever tree for whatever mode before swearing off the game for good.

It's pretty good.

I can't comment on the single player/story mode as I've mostly played the multiplayer. Grinding is a problem along with griefing but when people are helpful rather than rude it can be a really nice time.

500 hour + campaign playthrough update: Highly recommend even if you never plan on playing online. After 500 hours in online, it was pretty lackluster when I first made this review, however since the Diamond Casino + heist update it has become surprisingly rare to see a griefer, most likely since a whole lobby can turn on someone that destroys a shipment/heist prep. However you will be much better off playing online with a group of 3 other people as that is either the maximum or minimum number of people required for the majority of missions.

Game is just pay to win garbage, you don't need skill, just money, there is barely any spread to shotguns, and the rifles do the same amount of damage anyways, so they aren't even worth using. Not to mention the game servers, they have people lag and just teleport everywhere, then *boom*, you're dead, also, fix the exit button going to the main title screen, it adds an extra 3 seconds just to get to another game. just ♥♥♥♥ this game.
