Golem.

If you ask me to write 50 paragraphs about it I'd probably write 100 instead. There is a lot to unravel in regards to my feelings towards it, mostly positive, some negative, some I'm unsure, easily the most fascinated and brain tickling I've been with a new release in a very long time and in some ways my game of the year even if it isn't the best I've played due to how much it's made me think. To quote myself in a conversation I had "It's a victim of troubled development, small budget and potential underestimating of scope", it's a title that has been pulled apart, turned sideways and maybe never truly been able to breathe in a relaxed state without scrutiny or turmoil since it's initial inception. When compared to it's sire, the most common trait they share is they are both truly flawed gems, it's just that this one has more flaws and less shine to it's gem but despite all of that... it is still beautiful.

Fun and carefree, something that feels rare in today's multiplayer shooter landscape. People still occasionally play it and while you may run into a lot of bots, the PvE is still very fun on it's own. Hopefully one day they iterate on this and double down on the PvE systems especially the 10 man boss fights with Rathalos and Yellow Devil as they are incredible.

GFWL has finally been removed but with it came all of the online features and people's save files. This is one of the best coop games since there is a genuine sense of working together, praying that this is only temporary and Capcom is planning a steamworks update like they did with RE5.

It's getting review bombed because the dev has decided to cut ties with a neo-n@zi vtuber, ignore them.

The game itself is very fun in a low budget janky kinda of way that's incredibly charming in that feels like a early 360 era AA game that's missing in today's industry, a surprisingly enjoyable single player campaign, decent mission variety, great weapon variety that keeps improving with new updates. The team seem to be really passionate about the game and I hope they continue to find success. My only major complaint is I wish they could had scrapped a few of the smaller missions and maybe consolidate those resources into one or two more larger heists but I get that would had harmed the single player.
