Either this game is massive cope by the russian devs or its kremlin propaganda.
The russian bias is out of hand, its always been there but over the course of the last few years its been dialed up by a thousand.

Russia has the most modern, most technologically advanced vehicles and munitions (some of which are debatable if they even exist), while all other nations (mostly nato countries) have to use vehicles that are 30-50 years old. Russian vehicles damage models are also questionable at best.
The devs themselves proclaimed that russian technology is the most advanced and there is no way any other nation could possibly exceed or surpass their technological superiority.
They ignore unclassified western military documents (for example stinger vs igla or hstvl dart ammunition) and solely rely on russian claims to ''guarentee realism''. Gaijin is also blatantly hypocritical, as they will often adjust western vehicles (mostly negatively) in order to make them more ''realistic'', while they have admited to boosting performance of russian vehicles such as the 2s6 and its missles (g count) in the name of balance. This is a common tactic by Gaijin, where they will use realism or balance interchangeably in order to explain why russian vehicle xy needed a buff. The only reason the the 2s6 was eventually adjusted back to its real values was because they added a new, more powerfull russian anti air system to the game, that dominated topier for the following two years. Its almost as if it was mandatory for russia to always be the top nation in the game. There was a time where every nation got its time to shine and that would rotate every few updates, but nowadays russia reigns supreme.

Russia as of now has the best: ifv, atgm carrier, tank-dmg model, helicopter, air support (plane), anti air, coastal boat, naval vessel.

Basically the game is: RUSSIA BEST - everything else trash.

The game can be summed up to: a braindead repetitive grind.
There is fun to be had but don't expect a fun or engaging story or inovative gameplay.

GAMEPLAY:
The game features many fetchquests, repetitive events that don't go past: interact with this, shoot that. The only real exception to this is the raid but tbh after doing the raid a couple of times it too becomes boring and nothing more than a method to farm xp. By farming the raid you can easily become level 150-200 within one hour - this should give you an indication how ''hard'' the endgame content of this game is. To be clear, this game has no endgame content.

BUILDING SYSTEM AND ATOMSHOP:
One thing they nailed is the building system, i d say 60-70% of my playtime was spent building camps. However this too, has a catch - Most of the good looking build items are only purchasable for real currency in the ''atomshop''.
While on the topic of the atomshop i must address another issue this game has - FALLOUT FIRST - a monthly 15$ subscription service that acts as a paywall for the amount of junk, chems, ammo etc. you can store in your stash. In a game that is all about looting i think i don't have to explain what this means for ''f2p players''. You are at a constant disadvantage and the entire game becomes an inventory management simulator.

STORY:
I haven't really mentioned the story. That is due to the fact, that none of the storylines are interesting, engaging or memorable. Your decisions don't matter, the characters you meet range from forgetable to annoying, the gameplay largely consists of fetchquests and the questline rewards are irrelevant for your chars progression since the best items are tied to a gold currency or the raid.

GRIND:
The main issue imo. is that bethesda knows that their game offers no endgame content and in order to mask this they introduced the gold currency. This currency works as follows: You do events and get somewhere between 1-2 treasury notes, these notes can then be converted to gold, this gold can then be used to buy some of the best gear or utilities. Doesn't sound to bad right? Well, like almost everything in this game theres a catch. You have a daily limit of treasury notes that you are allowed to convert. That beeing 40 - so 400 gold, since you get 10 gold per note. Now comes the issue, most of the armors, utilities etc. will cost you thousands of gold.
An example, a new companion for you camp will set you back 4000 gold, meaning you have to log in 10 days in a row, to exchange enough treasury notes. This is not the most expensive item btw.
This entire system is an arbitrary bottleneck to waste your time.

VERDICT:
If you still want to buy this game, please do so on a deep discount (happens regularly), don't buy fallout first and don't pay money for the fomo seasonpass. The game is ok for 5$, but make sure to not give bethesda more then they deserve for this mediocre product.
