Great tower defence game. Excellent balance with a great sprinkling of personality.

Really enjoyed playing through this again. Great character development and a linear story line with solid depth smattered with a few tough choices. Very simple game play - more like an interactive visual novel than anything else so not for someone looking for high action, but well executed, appealing story telling.

I wouldn't call this a visual novel, but that's the closest broad description I can apply. You can't change anything, it's a matter of going through the motions to read more of the story as a book on the screen. The writing is good, the underlying story/message will resonate with many. There was nothing much about it that I found stimulating though.

A great replay through a fantastic game. For those who haven't enjoyed Mafia 2 before - the game is dripping with character. It has a linear story, though there are plenty of opportunities to wander and explore the world in between. Lots of elements are fairly repetitive, but well executed gameplay and an excellent story authentic to the era provide enough to get thoroughly immersed.

Played the original Eufloria and absolutely loved it - just the right mix of relaxation and focus. HD brought a few additional elements to the game, in particular the capacity to establish automatic funnels of seedlings to the front line. It won't be for everyone in terms of the style of the game but for me it was a game beautiful in its simplicity with a soundtrack to match. Got many hours of joy from the original and enjoyed it all over again with the release of HD.

Finally completed after a long hiatus. Great concept on reverse tower defense with a focus on close management rather than swarms. Tied together with a light story and solid voice acting it gets a solid thumbs up from me. :)

Was recommended to Life is Strange by friends and it did not disappoint. Primarily a graphical novel style game with a few puzzles thrown in for good measure, the depth of character and the complex plot really made it quite immersive.

For such a seemingly simple game it has a respectable level of depth. The story is engaging, amusing and adds enough interest to keep you pushing on a little more. The standard levels are of good length and for fans of a tower defense style genre, Defender's Quest will more than satisfy. The pace is fantastic the whole way through with level and gear development coming just as you need. Easy to digest and quick to learn and if you REALLY want to master it, there's room to do that too. A hearty thumbs up from me.

As an avid fan of the Tower Defense genre, I loved the first DG harder than any previous title in the genre. I sucked the marrow out of it and enjoyed every minute. The preliminary inspection of DG2 seems to really show more of the same - which can only be a good thing. A few additional features - though in the demo I missed a few of the touches of character that turned DG1 from a great game into one that was unmissable. Perhaps I'll find this in the full title - regardless, more of the same outstanding blend of balance and strategy can only be a good thing.

Getting right into the end game now. Have actually really enjoyed LA Noire. The stories and characters are very believable - very maturely presented - and the facial animation is absolutely outstanding. There is a tendency for the formulaic which is fairly unavoidable with most games of this nature (drive here, find clues, interview her, next location, gun battle, etc). However I've been kept engaged both with interest in the story and the general challenge level of the game.

Of particular note I've found the loving recreation of 1940's Los Angeles most intriguing. The sense of place and time is absolutely outstanding and well worth the investment. For achievement hunters, the achievements are reasonably constant and offer a good challenge with a handful that only the most dedicated will reach.

Recommend it.
