Sadly they completely strayed away from the "Build and rescue" premise of the game that enticed me to get it, a long while ago.

And their complete lack of testing means that 'updates' completely break the game. I have had multiple periods where I couldn't play the game (solo, or with friends), because the game simply didnt function as intented after a big 'update'. It then takes weeks, sometimes months, to get fixed to a reasonable level of playability, only to be broken a few updates down the line again.

This studio is treating this game like its still in early alpha, looking for what it wants to be. Instead of the finished product it should have been a long while ago.

Update: As of December 2024, this review still stands, exactly as I wrote it a year ago.
Stuff is breaking all the time, and quality of life stuff is lacking, it feels like the developers don't play their own game at all.

Update 2, electric boogaloo: As of March, 2025, this review still stands the test of time. Unlike the tests that the developers clearly did not do, before the sails update. Which simply made the ship I built with a keel shake its booty harder than any wanna be pirate can, in this game.

Awesome game to play with friends on the couch or across the globe.

Leaving the Factory is never an option... When you start making the factory grow, you cant stop!

Sadly this game is stuck in a timeloop of neverending Beta without adding new features.

The last few updates have made this game fun again, I revoke my revieuw of the game wich I posted just after the introduction of the safes, and I hereby announce:
The game is awesome again.
