Legacy version is 20gb lighter, runs better on steamdeck by more than 30% (legacy is stable 60fps, new version it's 24-55fps on low with fsr cranked. just pure garbage graphics) Newer dragon engine is somehow worse with facial expressions and has bugs qloc removed like forcing the gpu to work harder than it needs to and fans going full tilt AND THE HIGH FPS BREAKING GLITCHES!

honestly it's a free upgrade and I'm regretting trying it out even at that price. I'd hate to be someone wanting to buy this game new on steam. Gog still allows the legacy version. buy it there. it will also be drm free so you can grab an offline installer after

Consider this game's price to include the dlc. It's a slog without changing the encounter rate. otherwise really good game. one of the better hit point/kemco RPGs

Has less going for it than other kemco rpgs. story was also cheesey with moments that clash with current society. weirdly difficult but only if you want the true end. which is all lame considering the characters were some of the best they've made.

Don't listen to the hate train. This game is really fun. a third party is responsible for accidentally purging keys that were supposed to be unused from a couple years back. the fanatical keys were caught in that but the company is working to give new keys to those affected.

as for the review... It's like a heavy metal contra. I didn't really pay attention to the story tbh but sound design and gameplay are great. art is a bit muted at times but overall pleasing to the eyes. solid 4/5

Adding intrusive software after I bought this game (ENIGMA) puts capcom on my boycot list. Can't play any of thier games till this is addressed anyways since there is literally no information on who made the drm at all as they are hiding everything but the fact it's one person in russia lol

I hate to compare it to Slay the Spire but honestly? ya it's a dungeon crawler type approach to the deckbuilder genre. 3 party members you can equip things to and venture into the depth with increasing difficulty per complete run. Fairly similar games but I Like Deepest Chamber more. it's got that Wizardry aesthetic

if this were before they removed the sonic games I'd say this was a definite buy. now though... only if you like rom hacks but want an easier time making them work

not my first choice for a kemco rpg, or even the dragon series. it's fairly bare bones and has this fomo inducing stat system similar to ff10. That said it's still enjoyable. just odd the formula regressed since sinker and prana
