Well for one thing it was too big of a goal to do. Smaller goals are much more obtainable. I am already 2/3 of the way done with Disneyland's Haunted Mansion myself. I was looking at Google images for references of a doom buggy and found a picture of a source model. Then I searched some more and found this. Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks something like this would be epic.

The site for this project went down, but maybe if they put it back up along with a simple file submission system, they could rely on anyone who knows even some basicSource SDK skills to work on the project and improve on what's already been done kind of like what Google Docs does. You know...collaborate!

I was chatting with the leader of the project a while ago, and basically it came down to this. The project is more dormant than dead. All the people who were working on it either got bored, or work/school got in the way, and production stopped, leaving less than 10 ( I believe ) people to work on it, and that's an optimistic number. In my opinion, if enough people who were skilled enough to make top quality maps joined, then the project would continue. But until then, nothing is happening.

Hey Jabo123456,

It's never to late to learn. Go to youtube and search Source SDK Hammer tutorials. It took me about a week to learn. Practice what you learn by making small maps. Make a nice portfolio. In all it should take about a mounth, that's saying that you spend about an hour and a half each day. BUT if you suck, Im sorry not much to do about that then more practice. :)

I would LOVE to help.

One problem...
I'm not a good mapper/texturer. I'm technically "new" to Garry's Mod.
But I have probably visited Disneyland 200 times a year.
I could be blueprinter, or something.
I don't know. But I really wanna help, no matter what.

SVN is a method of distribution, not a service in particular. Thus that download speed is of no relation.

That would be a good choice. CSS props are generally better looking than the Half Life 2 props.
