We have done some work on the server, and contacted hour host to resolve the lag issue. We believe we have found the source of the lag and it may now be resolved. It may have been related to Oxide and it's various mods saving too often, resulting in a frequent slowdown or skip. We are looking for your input to let us know if the problem persists.

In other news, with the announcement that an update is still several weeks away, we may wipe the server this Friday. The decision to do this is based on the fact that a large portion of our players have left to other servers until the lag problem is resolved. Unfortunately, many of these houses have decayed and there is a large imbalance in the current game. We may also tweak the loot table for this next wipe and reduce the frequency of which military weapons drop. The change will not be drastic, but noticeable. We played with the table several times on this past wipe and have come to the conclusion that they are far too frequent, and it was easy to stock up on boxes of them. We still want these weapons in the game, and out in pvp, but there is no "excitement" currently when looting any weapon.

We are aware of the current lag issues and have an open ticket with FPSplayers.com to get it resolved. It is not continuous, but does seem to occur consistantly. The game is still playable, I would just stay away from areas with a large number of player buildings.

For those of you with client-side lag issues, you can try to reduce it by gaming while physcially plugged into the network (WiFi gaming BAD!), or downloading Leatrix Latency Fix (works for many other games, but I recommend you turn it off when streaming video content over the web).

There have been a few updates to the server. If you haven't been on recently, we now have starter kits and stats. The loot tables have been tweaked a bit with the following changes:


Explosives drop from reds increased double,
M4 drop rate added to reds loot table,
M4 drop rate on chests raised triple what it was,
Cloth armor drop rate lowered,
Bolt action rifle drop rate lowered

Just so you all are aware, the mod issue from last night is resolved. All mods are up and working again!
