ive been having that bug on and off for a few weeks tbh. seems like restarting/updating steam "fixes" it most of th time but its been a persistent bug

enjoying first contact DLC so far. cloaking is sweet, new ship components interesting, and the pre-FTL rework makes the galaxy feel way more alive

Damn, sad news to hear - understandable though since the last year or so has been pretty dry and its pretty hectic trying to schedule a game even at the best of times.

I know i only really showed up for a couple of the early games, but i would like to say that those were some of the funnest games of Stellaris I've ever played and likely ever will, and even though i haven't been able to take part in the last few years (Two degrees and a full time job killed my free time basically), I always enjoyed seeing an update here on games planned and active, made my day when i saw those :)

I've changed jobs lately and have some semi-human work hours now (9-5 instead of night shift, woo!) so I'll hopefully be able to join any games again over the next 3 months if anyone's willing to see me crash and burn in the first hour or two of the game xD.

yeah its not really that we are that good just that we play alot, so we already know what the pop-ups will say in most cases. The speed though was really just about making the games possible at all. It would take us like 3 days to finish a game on fast/fastest.

I mean if you have a week to kill playing on normal speed sometime lmk i could be down lol

Sad to see you guys go. Sorry I didn't play more but most of you are really good at the game and wanted to play at the highest speed and it's not for me. Doesn't help that I've only seen a fraction of the popups and was reading everything which can be annoying.

I sortof blame paradox haha, their release and patch schedule made MP extremely difficult if not impossible for like a whole year

Hey I made an event for the game. I set the date thinking we were still doing 30th 1st 2nd type of game but the patch is being released alongside nemesis launch so.... should we move it up to next weekend? this weekend even?

I'll probably be picking a megacorp since I just love trade value so much, but not entirely sure beyond that.. I do like playing space vampires too, like evil slaver merchants.

But it could depending on the time, I think having smaller windows can be good so people don't feel obligated to sign on for such an extended time.

I have a lot of days that work really, though Saturdays generally are a no go with my D&D group.

I think your right with the growth balance Lady Crimson, from what I saw in break downs of up updates coming it sounds like the mods that slow planet growth once it reaches a certain size and other mods that auto move pops for you will no longer be needed with this update.

Yeah that'll be interesting, and balance better for doing city planets since it can be alloy/consumer good districts instead.

yeah should be a good one. I'm pretty sure they're doing the growth balance changes too, which should reduce how good high pop planets are, and other things like the synth upgrading hopefully.

Some people play with mods though, so possible certainly.

Generally we don't use mods, and RP is up to people really. A lot of people are newer and some are more familiar so there aren't really any requirements though strongly encouraged.

I generally like to rp as the leaders or as the empire as a whole in direct messages or the galactic chat.

I like the idea of a RP game, anyone able to explain how that tends to play out? I've found bits and pieces here and there in comments and forums and just curious how you guys tend to do it. If there is something already typed up I must not be seeing it.

Also, are mods used as well or is it all vanilla?

I went with a authoritarian, militarist, materialist with technocracy, slavers guild and void dwellers. Mostly peaceful but I got a couple of wars in :P
