@ShiroAmada: That was the original plan, and is why this steam group was created in the first place, so everyone could contribute to the decision making process. I was one of the first people to get in-game, and made a faction composed almost entirely of officers. Within a few hours, however, I was informed that Jrod had already made a faction, so we disbanded and joined his. From that point on, it was impossible to make any serious decision as a group while Jrod was online.

tl;dr: Power was shared by all and was usurped by one.

Would it be possible a true democracy is the best way to run a society in Dawntide? Why is there a "leader" figure instead of at least a council? For small societies a town council of electred representatives would most likely be the best idea.

No sane person would join a group compromised of /v/irgins anyway.

Hey Lee. I've been here since the first thread, one of the officers already quit because of Jrod's incompetence. If you really want to play this game, I would suggest finding someone thats been playing for a long time, asking them for tips, and possibly joining their faction. If you want any semblence of order and structure, then dont join the Broviet Union. (At least not until Jrod quits)

No, it's not really true, in my experience. If anything, the officers are impossible to find, let alone give any orders. Most of the people are cool and quite helpful.
