On December 5th 1825 shortly after the death of his brother Alexander I. Nikoli Pavlovich Romanov(sorry if my Russian is bad) rose to take the throne. But as he and his loyal troops headed for St. Petersburg's Senate square rebel army officers, the Decembrists gathered calling on people to overthrow the Tsar and make a constituition. Nicholas ordered his troops to fire on the rebels and the rebellion was over in the blink of an eye. Nicholas would become in his 30 year reign the cop who kept Europe safe for Monarchy.

I am back, yet i have noticed that this group has ground to a halt since i have been gone. Each and every member has the same rights as i in regards to announcments and comments! you are all FREE TO CREATE ANNOUNCMENTS! I trust in all members that they will not abuse this trust, yet still use it. the rules with regards to announcments have been made clear before yet i shall repeat again...
1- The announcment must be oriented around history, be it an interesting fact or an historical event, even a biography on a person.
2- It MUST NOT COME FROM WIKIPEDIA! not only is it unreliable but it just shows whoever is just copy pasting probably is ignorant about the subject and we don't want that!
3- just 3 a day! we do not want our page looking over crowded and we need to give people time to read them!!!!

ok guys this has got to be the ultimate show down who do u think is the most deadly warrior from medieval europe and asia. the european knight or the japanese samurai.?

in my point of view i would say the knight (particulary from the 1400s). so why did i choose the knight? heres so, the knight is significantly more protected then the samurai. knights were using full suits of armor by the 1400s with very intricate and flexible movement for the wearer. compared to samurai during this time u were wearing mostly wooden with some sheets of metal as protection. now on to combat both were very skilled in warfare samurai used quick slashes fast movement ,where knights were like armored tanks with bone crushing blows. in my mind i can see a samurai attempting to hit the knight in the head with his katana only to have it deflect from the knights sallet helm. but when the knight uses his heavy claymore or 2 handed sword he gives a powerful blow to the samurai's head knocking the samurai down. keep in mind though the knight is wearing heavy armor it is actully very flexible u can jump in it and move quite fast compared to what u may see in the movies. overall there both amazing warriors but when it comes down to combat the knight is the victor. period....
