As of lately, ZPS has been quickly losing server popularity across the board. Released in 2008, it has definitely had its time. Yes, there are still several servers that are somewhat successful in sustaining population during the day, but I imagine this will be short-lived. Average server life expectancy is approximately 2 – 3 years. It is unfortunate that I only came up with the idea for hosting a server on the tail end of things, but the “demand” is no longer there as it once was. And thus, I regret to inform everyone that I have canceled the server (as short-lived as it was, LOL). It’s simply not worth paying $37.00/month for an obsolete game server that isn’t being used.

As for the group, stay or leave as you choose.

On the plus side, I have learnt lots about server hosting, FTP client interface, Source SDK, website development, and various SourceMod scripting. So, if I decide to host another server in the future, it’ll be a breeze. As for ZPS though, its time to say goodbye!

Thank-you to everyone who stuck around, and I apologize that we couldn’t have done more with the time that was given to us!

Also a special thanks to Cracka for being my wing-man and helping monitor the server. And thanks to $nakeboyeric for editing a sweet custom Church Siege map that I featured in the server. You guys are awesome! Much respect!

Im back from being away for 3 days, Your unable to join the server becuase of the snap shot overflow, once stings reloads the server it will be available again.

The TKDM server took a large jump from rank 43 to 32 this week (out of a total of 192 ZPS servers), which is great news! We are currently averaging approximately 5 players online at any given time. Not too bad. But, these numbers should increase dramatically with the introduction of larger maps as to prevent the excessive spawn killing that most players are currently getting frustrated with. In turn, larger maps will help promote and sustain a larger server population.

By popular request, I will be editing “Cinema” next.
Map edits will include (but not limited to):
- More weapon spawns
- More ammo spawns
- Zombies spawns removed
- Survivor spawns spread around the map (instead of everyone spawning at the front of Cinema).

Im still trying to work out some bugs with the plugin, but here's
some exciting features you can look forward to in the near future:

- after a survivor is killed, they will be forced to wait 15 seconds before
rejoining the game!
- the map will automatically refresh every 15 minutes (to prevent snapshot
overflow) or until only 1 survivor remains.
- the console will notify everyone with who kills who.
- the zombie team will be completely removed.
- every kill you make will boost your HP by +20 (to a maximum of 300 HP)!

Also, I plan on editing more maps to be teamkilling-compatible (more news on that still to come).
