Some stuff is missing from his gameography, like Dark Forces (LucasArts, 1995), in which he is credited as the Motivational Guru.

Tex Murphy Project Fedora is still taking donations through PayPal for a limited time! Rewards are still available too! http://www.bigfinishgames.com/support-project-fedora-paypal

If you love games by Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert, you will LOVE the Tex Murphy games! They are great detective games set in the 2040s in San Francisco, and they have exciting noir mystery stories, interesting characters, great acting, fun adventuring, and a nice dash of humor. All five of the old Tex Murphy games are on GOG.com . There is also a Kickstarter project for the game that will be a modern sequel to the last Tex Murphy game (made in 1998). The Kickstarter ends on Friday, June 15 at 11:51 PM MDT, which is in less than 44 hours!

Monkey Island 1 & 2 + Grim are 3 of my alltime favourite games.
I remember first playing MI1 back on the Atari along with Sierra classics
Shame they don't make games like those anymore...
Thanks for the link Kenny, I failed a while back to run Grim w/ Vista 64.

We are in progress of building our website and we already have a topic on our forum about how to get Grim Fandango working on a modern PC. (http://eighthunderworld.forumotion.com/general-discussion-game-n ews-calavera-cafe-f3/how-to-get-grim-fandango-to-work-on-a-modern -pc-t80.htm?highlight=grim)

There are a few bugs in the game which have always been there; elevators, doors and the game interface. Off the top of my head I can't quite remember to how fix/get around the conveyor belt issue, but I think there are sevral methods. If you leave a post in that topic, I'll investigate and get a resoultion for you a.s.a.p.

Conveyor belt at the end of the world.
12 Jan, 2010 @ 5:37pm
The elevator in the high roller's lounge I assume?
12 Jan, 2010 @ 3:07pm
I actually first played it pretty recently. I was doing ok until I hit a part I could not get past. Apparently it was a bug that you couldn't get past on modern computers.
10 Jan, 2010 @ 2:02pm
Yep! Back when it first came out before I had internet.
10 Jan, 2010 @ 10:48am
Has anyone here ever beaten Grim Fandango the first time around without ever consulting a walkthrough?
1 Jan, 2010 @ 5:54pm
I got brutal legend a month ago and beat it recently. its a MASTERPIECE.
1 Jan, 2010 @ 5:46pm

15 Oct, 2009 @ 9:37pm
Oh my holy crap! I just got about 4 hours of "Brutal" gameplay and IT IS AMAZING!!!! So worth the two year wait! Trust me, once you expierience the grace of melting off faces and the majesty of the chrome tipped trees of this magical land of metal there is no turning back! Best game since Psychonauts!
14 Oct, 2009 @ 3:26pm
Grah! Just one more day till I can filnally get my hands on the Brutal Legend! I THINK MY HEAD'S GONNA 'SPLODE!
12 Oct, 2009 @ 2:53pm
"Tim Schafer is one of the funniest guys in games and Jack Black is one of the funniest guys in movies - together they keep you ROFLing."

I am not sure we should trust that review too much.
12 Oct, 2009 @ 2:09pm
Pfft. Brutal Legend deserved at least a 50 out of 10...
12 Oct, 2009 @ 4:16am
IGN Gave Brutal Legend 9.0
11 Oct, 2009 @ 5:07pm
Wow, they completely redesigned the website! The old one was nice, but this is pretty cool!
11 Oct, 2009 @ 4:16pm
Ahhh!!! THE DOUBLE FINE WEBSITE IS OFFLINE! LET'S ALL HUDDLE UP TOGETHER IN THE FALLOUT SHELTER UNTILL THIS PASSES OVER!
8 Sep, 2009 @ 2:39am
Speaking of Ron Gilbert, has anyone checked out www.angrygamer.com?
8 Sep, 2009 @ 1:28am
Where is PC-petition for Brutal Legend?
10 Jul, 2009 @ 9:17am
Hey Guys Its me From DFAF, My name on steam is different but my name on DFAF is Dinnerordie17

And Psychonauts is the best game ever made, and Grim Fandango is my Second Favorite!
8 Jul, 2009 @ 10:20am
I'm sure Full Throttle and Grim Fandango will hit Steam eventually, since they said this wasn't the only batch of games they're adding. They could be saving Day of the Tentacle for a Special Edition though, assuming the Secret of Monkey Island one sells well.
7 Jul, 2009 @ 5:32pm
Lucasarts comes to steam, but no word of Schafer's work being available. [face_sad]
6 Jul, 2009 @ 2:32am
Tim Scahfer is a god (but don't forget Dave Grossman & Ron Gilbert!).
3 Jul, 2009 @ 2:36pm
Wow. You guys play a lot of TF2. I think I have the group for you then: http://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/groups/TSCATF2
30 Jun, 2009 @ 3:15am
We have had one of our admin accounts stolen and we know that a person from this group sent him and muyself a link to a very doggy website. We acted quickly and disable the account's admin rights to our Steam group. But he hasn't mange to get his account back yet and he has had to create a new account buy TF2 again.
29 Jun, 2009 @ 2:14pm
yea .. i got that message aswell.. and me being hungover clicked it and got my account Hijacked, luckily i got it back within 4 hours.
28 Jun, 2009 @ 12:54am
Two members of this group have both sent me the same suspicious message which sends you to a page that I know from previous expierence is designed to steal your username and password. WTF guys!
27 Jun, 2009 @ 4:15pm
Oh, Psychonauts definitely needs a sequel.
27 Jun, 2009 @ 12:53pm
What's wrong?
27 Jun, 2009 @ 10:27am
Alright, this is weird. How many of you are hackers or have been hacked recently.
27 Jun, 2009 @ 9:18am
You can't hide from the Grim Reaper. Especially when he's got a gun.

"This deck of cards is a little frayed around the edges, but then again so am I and I've got fewer suits... "
19 Jun, 2009 @ 1:47pm
who thinks psychonauts desirvs a sequal?
18 Jun, 2009 @ 4:03pm
That's the only reason FT isn't on my best games list, it's just too damn short.

Well, that and the annoying wall puzzle.
17 Jun, 2009 @ 5:44pm
Just got my hands on a copy of Full Throttle. Great Game but I beat it in under 3 hours!!!! WHY???
14 Jun, 2009 @ 7:17am
Just completed Grim Fandango for the first time in years. Still a great game!

Manuel Calavera: Buenos días.
Mercedes Colomar: You're not the nurse.
Manuel Calavera: No.
Mercedes Colomar: You're not here to give me my medication?
Manuel Calavera: No, but I am here to ease your pain.
Mercedes Colomar: Guess they couldn't save me, eh?
Manuel Calavera: No, but there's still a chance you could save me.
13 Jun, 2009 @ 4:18pm
Your destiny... cannot be purchased.

(I'll see what I can do)
13 Jun, 2009 @ 4:02pm
WOW, 100 Members! Well done [DC] Calavera, do we all get Double-N tickets now?
13 Jun, 2009 @ 3:37pm
That's probably the result of me wasting two hours searching for people with words like "Grim Fandango", "Threepwood" or "Psychonauts" mentioned on their profiles.

Then again, I wouldn't want a group with like five people just because I am too lazy. Either i do it the right way or don't do it at all.
13 Jun, 2009 @ 1:52pm
Oh wow, we have more members than the Mojo Steam group now.
