guys i need help wen i play cs there is no servers showin up but in steam the servers all show up but wen i try to join it it says failed to contact game server

anyone plzz help me otherwise i wont be able to play anything

sureshot, instead of all of those other ideas given suggested to you by other members, you could try my idea. It's fast and simple. Uninstall Steam and Counter-Strike 1.6. After you do that, make sure you delete their folders, too, in your local disk. This ensures that you delete all bugs and unoriginal files that has, then been downloaded after your last installation. This should work. You will end up with a brand new Steam and Counter-Strike 1.6. If I do help you fix up your problem, please keep your ammo packs. I have no need for them and I like helping people out when I can.

Sureshot, try to reformat your pc. Get an USB and save all your important files. As for the programs, you could simply reinstall them. That should take care of everything.

yea samething happened to me, sureshot this sucks but to tell you, u actually need to turn ur comp off and leave it off for about 5 or 6 days. i had to do the same thing and now i never freeze up. =]

hey guys, for some reason im having trouble with my steam. it opens up, but when i go to get in a server, it keeps freezing. i tried restarting and everyhting. does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it? I WANT TO PLAY CS! >_< ill give you 250 ammo packs if you can help me fix it!!!! -.-
