Hey all,

For a while now I've been working off-and-on on a corporate-themed RP group called BayerCo Industries. I've been experimenting with this thing for a while and right now the best sort of game (perhaps outside of RPing in a Source Engine game) for it would be Star Citizen. It's an incredibly ambitious space sim MMO being developed by Chris Roberts of Wing Commander and Freelancer fame. The community building around it is already enormous. There's an impressive clan system being worked into the game which will allow you to form groups as corporations, "faith"-based organizations, PMCs or crime syndicates, which is right up my alley for this idea.

Both Star Citizen and its organization system are in their early stages right now, so feel free to take your time signing up, there'll probably be a bit of time to wait until things really kick off in there. However, a major update to the game is coming soon, allowing you to test ships you own against AI bots. It's called the Dogfighting Module and it's apparently designed to be as important to the game as, say... the first implementation of crafting was to Minecraft, roughly.

Keep in mind that it's still fairly barebones at the moment and any help in fleshing out the company's appearance on its group pages and its activities in-game is appreciated. Feel free to put any Photoshop skills you have to good use if you want to. I'm pretty lenient on how often you need to participate to be involved in the group -- I'm in college myself so I can't get on every day. There'll be times when I'm not online or otherwise busy so feel free to just check in every so often to see if there's something new from me or other group members. If the demand's there though, I'd say a weekly appearance would be pretty awesome.

Also, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I'm just focused on having BayerCo Industries participate in Star Citizen at the moment officially but if the group gets large enough we may do multiple games at some point. I'm open to suggestions.

Anyway, thanks for your attention, guys. And yes, I know, it's been forever since there was an update on THIS group. We're pretty relaxed ourselves.

Is there a multiplayer game you want to share with other group members? Are you about to start a livestream of a game? Do you want to start a co-op adventure? Do you and other group members want to hang out IRL? Or, do you just love pancakes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, feel free to set up your event, we'd love to see what you've got going on in vidyaland. Unless it's tentaclegrape... in which case... keep that shiz to yourself.

Rules:

1. The posting group member assumes any and all responsibility for the content of his/her event post.
2. The posting group member will be subjected to a month-long pancake-eating competition if he/she decides to ignore this rule and post illegal, discriminatory, harmful or overly offensive content. Try walking that one off, dingus. No, actually he/she will have their offending event removed and be banned from creating group events in the future. This is a one-warning removal, two-strike ban policy.
3. Joke events are subject to the same criteria.
4. No overt spamming. Try and keep all details about the event in one thread, wherever that is. Spam or repeat events will be pruned with/without notice and without permission by myself and/or moderators at our discretion so don't startle the Witch on this one.
5. Seriously... pancakes to the face.

For the past couple dozen or so months, the status of my internet presence, then later my actual presence, have been in flux. I wanted to announce to you members today that I have returned to Bothell from an extended visit to the East, I now have much faster, more stable internet access thanks to a family member, and I'm about to start a new process for me: applying for college courses.

The point is, I'm hopeful that I may return to semi-regular administration of this group and others which I control. Perhaps in the future I can start a regular event for this group or two, wouldn't that be nice? I think so.

Of course, that's schedule-permitting, due to those courses I mentioned.

Due to unforeseen circumstances (maybe the fact that my previous ISP was a ♥♥♥♥♥), I haven't had a land-line broadband connection in a few months, and if I don't have a landline connection, my desktop PC can't get on the internet, and with no internet comes no Steam-y goodness. Sorry about that. I'm currently typing this on my iBook G4, something which CAN'T run Steam under any circumstances, so when I actually get a good internet connection going on my PC I'll... probably host an event or something. LOOK FORWARD TO IT! :P

P.S. My second-in-command, Bloddyboy123, has a connection on his PC, so talk to him if you need anything in the meantime. ^_^

Seeing as this group isnt really active all to much on the walls and such Im going to get a poll going. Who owns what games?
