sad that the devs didn´t say something more usefull about that issue.. but maybe they will remember encouraged players like you and try to avoid such aweful mistake in the future.. or their own bugs will get them^^whua ha ha^^ i remember very well how i felt then my Nr.1 Tennisplayer with all unlocked features AND the online-ranking-points were gone into the black hole of the internet-cloud..... and guess what: it happens twice... but then i was prepaired with backup.. hhmmm and i felt like :

Yeah, did my first hard round today, with a lvl 4 Battle. I turn him to 5 next round, then it's hard from now on. That's when I can begin mingle again with you guy's.
I need atleast one Hard mode class to bring online. That's why I work on one class only.

I did a complaint to the developers about this issue. Even got an answer.
Cloud should have done this and that. Basically nothing useful.
I now backup the sav files now and then.

Tough call this, but like in fme, after a tod you somehow change some stuff.
Now I go with other weapons and some other tachtics than the first round.

Look forward to smash some bug's with you soon.

Orange, at level 4 you can face Hard mode...no troubles up to DaddyLongLegs mission...further, can be a bet or some hazard

Yup, Steam cloud replace your save file, with a brand new one.
After some forum drilling, I have learned a bit about this, there is no cure when this happens.
It happens when SteamCloud try to sync off and online game progress.

This is how the msg looks:

Backup is the only thing that saves your ass.
Here is the location of your files:

00000000.sav

I do backup, but lately I have moved my game library between drives, didn't update my backup plan.

Be awared, this happens occationally. It's an old problem with this game, even from xBox plattform.

I'll work my Battle guy up as fast as I can, I cannot game on hard with you guy's at sub 5lvl

a some cloud issue resetted my EDF at ground zero...
happened at steam client starting, and notifing me confict between cloud and home files. I chose "cloud", then when EDF started, chose "save from cloud" (or something)..well..all resetted to 0...asking me which armour whished to unlock!
no workaround (check file chache, uninstal-reinstal) nor system restore.
anyway, i would advise you to keep some backup of EDF steam files..just in case.
Well, i'll come back in action among you with my "new" level 2 armours!

first off all i was wrong, haven´t read about the problem in the gamehub..:( i read something about a memory leak in the gamehub of blacklight retribution..:( so i disarranged my mind... so sorry:(( i have done some google research now... and found nothing.. only thing i found out is that there is no save file.. guess thats something you still know.. so it looks like a problem with steam... or steam and the game..:( i don´t know.. sorry that i can´t help.. maybe someone else has a idea.. or bring this problem to the gamehub...
anyway... i guess if there is someone who can solve this problem it´s the Doc O:))

i thought the devs solved this problem...:( btw i had the same problem in Virtua Tennis.. but there you can backup.. but the backuping is used there to cheat.. :((( all frustrating

Today I played some good sessions. I needed a break, then ended the game.
30mins later, I launched the game, got this msg:
"Your savefiles are corrupted"
After some yes and no's, I was able to launch the game.
Fresh start, just as the day I started, all rank 1.
What a beautiful day^^

oh, btw... The first who mention the word "Backup" will suffer.....

I think that was a very insightful and correct asumption Xalt.
Much easier to handheld a black or white rule, than try to control a million of grey shades.
Social medias are not handeled equally good with all people.
To offer the workers a gaming computer is actually cool as it is, and quite rare as far as I know.

Actually, I had to shut down Facebook at one of the offices I work in, the boss there got hooked, his employees complained^^

If some of them wish to meet us again, well, they know were to find us^^

I think the no friending policy is an attempt at keeping it a strictly gaming unit, rather than slowly devolving into a social & chatting computer(which they may or may not already have) as having "Friends" encourages one to chat rather than game as the machine is meant for.
