Do we have any upcoming matches? And if not, would anyone like to practice on Sunday (at 4)? I think we should come up with some general "strategy" for cart maps (i.e. 4 push, 5 attack) Something really simple, but better than EVERYBODY ON CART. DIE RESPAWN GET ON CART

did some scouting on the other team's stats, so we have a bit more heads-up on which classes we should watch out for:
scout - ~400 hours - reset his stats doesn't seem super good
Unknown (possibly solly) - ~500 hours
pyro has over 1000 hours logged, reset his stats... I'm scared after the last pyro (so much uber, so much uber)
Demo ~600 hours - seems like a "skilled" demo
Heavy - data unobtainable - o dear :|
Engineer - 660 hours - dirty idler / achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ (let's hope he's as useless as the last one)
medic - has no steam community profile
sniper has also played over 1000 hours, spent ~80% of it sniping
unknown dude - ~400 hours - possibly their spy - obviously cant compare to our Sy
another unknown (possibly backup engie) - ~300 hours - appears to be a dirty idler / achievement ♥♥♥♥♥
Claims to be female - ~250 hours - possibly spy, more likely scout backup
They apparantly have <9 core members and fill their ranks with various extras. I sense another victory gents

I'm up for it, I need more time to orient myself on Granary but dustbowl I have down as demo

I also think we should have a practice match or something. We have granary and dustbowl coming up. Dustbowl is where toitles will need the most support as he will be the main area of denial on defense. Since its a push map we always need to roll uber on offense. We need to organize where we should be e.g. demo supporting sentry and spamming choke points, pyro in side passage ways, heavy in the path of the main force, soldier goes where needed, ect. IDK what to do about granary but looks like what we did last time worked. We just need to learn when to retreat.

We could try doing tf2lobby on friday if we have enough on, but people don't really like highlander in tf2lobby.

I kinda think we should have a regular practice day - like friday - people who can play just play "competitively" on the maps we'll be playing on. Cuz that team had badwater down - the way they took the roof every time was terrifying (if they had granary as tight as they had badwater, we would've been in trouble)

So, about a day before the new update went live, the router I use to connect to the internet stopped working (posting on a public computer). It's unforeseeable how long this will be out, so I don't know if I can make the match against whoever is next. It's important to me that I make it, so if I can know the EXACT time of our match (west coast), then I can try and arrange to go to a friends house for the match. I'll periodically check this page, and the xstreamlan forum, so I communicating to me through either of those would be effective. I appreciate working with me on this, and I will try not to let you guys down.

just a thought... if you get doubles of the new weapons for a particular class, pass them on to the teammate who plays that class. If I get any polycount weapons, I'll just pass them along (after trying em out a bit)

I dont know if we can add anyone now. But I will ask an admin about it when I talk to one about what our sceduled match on hte 26th counts as. And does this sunday against one of the teams in our group sound good. It will try to be around 7 eastern as always.

I don't think we can add anyone else, so if we have to lose Fingers, one of our alternates will have to take up the post as sniper.

next time we practice, we should play at least 2 maps 2-out-of-3 style so it's not over super quickly and we get a bit better of a practice in.

@ Big i don't you need to because the server will be set to sv_pure 2 which lets no skins or alterations work. So you can probably leave it in there but if you're worried just rename the file to some thing temporary so you can easily change it back after the match.

I talked to my clan peeps, and this friday is kinda rocky for a lot of people, so I won't waste your time by asking you to be there this friday. If one of the group admins could post this as an announcement that would be cool to get the word out. Maybe next friday.

K I looked over the rules on the site and it says that we have to have our nickname that we chose on the site to be the one while we play. We can still put our tags on tho. This means we dont need the etf2l tag im pretty sure.

@Brewingpandas yes you need the "ETF2L" tag in your nickname but I'm not sure if it required for the prelimenaries. And I think we should go with [TSR] because our clan name on the site is Tunnel Snakes Rule.

I'd agree with you on that, Dr. Fun, but I thought someone said "ETF2L" was required to be in the tag for the actual Highlander Challenge.
