LiptonLeon 22 Jan, 2019 @ 11:30pm
I alreadly got 2 friend invites from "someone" who trades on some other "main" account (there's a link on profile's description) his knife for 5-6 grafitti. I wouldn't trust it!

Very bad news:
This ♥♥♥♥ is back.
Rocketman_02 11 Aug, 2018 @ 10:19pm
so glad somebody made this.
Demetrius 11 Aug, 2018 @ 11:58am
One last thing I got to say:
You will still find many thumbnails of the Workshop scams, even if they are already down.
Demetrius 11 Aug, 2018 @ 11:54am
I was posting the warning everyday on all scams I could find.

VERY IMPORTANT:
I recommend you (as I did) to also start a "Discussion" with the name "SCAM WARNING - DON'T CLICK THE LINK OR COMMENT" on the scam "maps" so people will see it!

Many people will sadly still fall for the scams because those Workshop scams get spammed with so many comments that all the warnings you write get lost. :(
Demetrius 11 Aug, 2018 @ 11:50am
We did not win, but we achieved something. Valve is taking those scams faster down then ever before. More and more people are aware of those scammers.
ao 10 Aug, 2018 @ 2:30pm
We didn't win yet, they keep coming and coming.
DrMagenheim 9 Aug, 2018 @ 5:52am
Are we Won?

Hi, I got scammed/hijacked yesterday! Cuz i was stoopid! I felt very bad, BUT i used steam support! It only take 8 hrs to respond! this that acc! i got back! The scammer can't log in 'cuz of lockdown! I recommend a anti-malware after got scammed! (sorry for bad english :c) :candyman::candyman:
howard 8 Aug, 2018 @ 12:30pm
well there are alot more then just 10 pages. Once it gets the the front page it is on your dashboard front and center. So people with new accounts might not understand what giving that info up will do to an account. Because the login page looks pretty convincing
LiptonLeon 8 Aug, 2018 @ 12:25pm
@-park- then it means that people aren't that stupid :steammocking:
howard 8 Aug, 2018 @ 12:23pm
@TITO from what i have seen its only the first 10-15 pages who are bots to create artifitial traction.
unforgiven 8 Aug, 2018 @ 12:13pm
Hello There I m new in the group
Demetrius 8 Aug, 2018 @ 8:58am
Tell me if I am wrong, but could it be that they use bots for their comments?
Demetrius 8 Aug, 2018 @ 8:53am
Nevermind... They are back.
howard 7 Aug, 2018 @ 12:54pm
We are a group of 56 people. Us 56 people cannot end scamming. We can help you reclaim an account or verify if a website is a scam.

Demetrius 7 Aug, 2018 @ 3:52am

howard 5 Aug, 2018 @ 5:53pm

Adorable Cat 5 Aug, 2018 @ 5:31am
hey bye the way when you see these sites on the workshop, go to http://whois.domaintools.com/ and type in the URL of the phishing site, find the "Registrar Abuse Contact Email" and email them saying that (site) is using a fake Steam login page to deceive people into giving out their contact info". So far I've reported 5 sites and all 5 have been removed.
howard 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:26pm
Same thing happened here. The account is also on a trade lockdown for 15 days. So nobody can buy funds, trade, or sell items on the market. So the only thing now is to wait.
Kaptein Skrotum 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:24pm
The scary thing is that i had every possible security on my account. I recieved an email saying that my mobile authenticator was disabled with confirmation from a sms to my phone which i never recieved. Thanks though, i put a lot of time, effort and money into this account and i really don't want it to be gone.
howard 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:20pm
For me it only took 1 day. Some people say it takes up to a week. And since valve's support has been getting better it will be easier to get your account back. Make sure to check your current email for any kind of response. Once everything is checked out you will recive a new password to access the account. Once you get your account back you will have a 15 day trade and market restriction. After you get it back, secure your account to make sure this wont happen again.
Kaptein Skrotum 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:16pm
hijacked
howard 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:14pm
Did you get trade scammed or hijacked?
Kaptein Skrotum 4 Aug, 2018 @ 4:13pm
I pretty much just got scammed and i already sent in a ticket to steam to get my account back, how long do they usually take though?
Demetrius 3 Aug, 2018 @ 5:56am

LocomoTom 1 Aug, 2018 @ 12:11pm
Yo, I just wanted to say, -park-, I'm glad you put more clearly what I was trying to say on that fake CS giveaway thing. Good to know there are groups like this, out to help the community.
