Hey guys, in the next month or so I'll be able to start hosting games again. After I get my schedule figured out it will be easier to set some time aside for this.

Hey was wondering if anyone was interested in game of thrones board game? It's 6-9 players(recommended) it has more intrigue than diplomacy and better combat system and the way the game goes through this is very interesting was wondering if anyone is willing to play?

Regarding the Supply cutting I believe in that particular situation you and the Italian had cut each others support, and that is why everything stalled. Here is a map detailing it, I may have rememebered it incorrectly however. http://i.imgur.com/wrueWwq.jpg?1

And @Gold It was kind of a draw near the end but it was decided that England, Germany and Austria were in the best postions to win.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to host a game this weekend, however, anyone can feel free to host their own games if they're inclined.
22 Apr, 2016 @ 5:35am
Who won the game last night?

I thought I'd update everyone as to the actual rules with regards to units supporting other units in Diplomacy. The rules state that if a unit's orders are to support another unit, that support is cut when the supporting unit is attacked by another unit. The unit's orders change from a support order to a hold order since it must defend the province is it in when it is attacked.

"Cutting Support: If the supporting unit is attacked during the turn by some other unit, its support is cut. In effect, the support order becomes a hold order, as the unit must defend its province against the attack. Note that a unit occupying the province into which the support is directed cannot cut support, unless its attack successfully dislodges the supporting unit."

I knew I was right.
