Hey kids, we need to get [Sbmt] together on our server one of these days. When's best for everyone? I 'm self employed so I can work around pretty much anything, except Tuesday nights.

We have a competitive match against GS96 on March 19 (this saturday) if enough of you guys commit, so before then would be preferable.

We also need a solution for communication. I propose either Skype or Teamspeak, but I lack a connection that can support both a TS server and Black Ops play.

I'm going to be in the SBMT server tonight, anyone care to join me? I'd really like to see what kind of talent Authority has recruited. I'm EST and plan to be there around 7:30 till who knows.

I will be contacting various teams to get them to join, and with any luck we'll kick this thing off in the next few days. At the moment it's a 3v3 tournament with the potential to have as many as 6 on each team. Only RBG and leezarts have signed up at FraggedNation so far, so I need everyone to sign up and send me their usernames ... I will invite you to the team and the tournament right away!

If you haven't done this already, I HIGHLY recommend you do. These tweaks bought me a LARGE amount of FPS and did away with the lag that we have all dealt with at the beginning of each map.

Go to your Black Ops Main directory, and open the "Players" folder. There should be a multiplayer (mp) config file with the extension .cfg. Open that file in Wordpad (not Notepad), and make the following changes:

seta sm_maxLights "0" - number of muzzle flashes from gun fires. 0 to improve performance
Make sure shadows are turned off in game. Very important for performance.
seta snaps "30" - Better hit registration.

You're going to be very impressed with the outcome.

Alright, all [Sbmt] members have admin access on "The Hurt Locker FFA" server. I may need to enter your GUID to ensure you can use the commands, so let me know if you try them and they don't work for you. The commands are as follows:

To kick someone without ban, type this in the global chat:
max.kn.<playername>

To kick someone with a temporary ban, type this in the global chat:
max.tn.<playername>

If you need to kick someone by their UID, type this:
max.ki.<playername>

Don't use the brackets around their name of course, and it will take anywhere from 3 - 15 seconds for them to be kicked. If you run across a hacker who needs to be permanently banned, please make note of the name and pass it on to me.

Additionally, if the server happens to be full, you can take advantage of a reserved slot by using the password "submit". (yes I realize this is a public site, but if someone is taking that much interest in us, they should probably be a member anyway)

Please don't abuse your power, but don't put up with a ration of ♥♥♥♥ from a jackass making trouble either.
