Since the shutdown of qUiCkSiLvEr's server, the HLDM:S community seems to be shrinking. Barely anyone is doing anything useful in the forums. If we want to get more players, we really need to try to support the game a little bit. I as well as many other HLDM:S players would appreciate a bit of support in the forums from those of you who do not go there (if you don't mind of course). I have started a thread that I really think should be read and responded to (I know it's long, but it's about getting an update).

Hey guys just got back from Cancun and here is a thought just to say that you guys rock and I was thinking that I would write out everyone names but I think this makes it easier for me.

As I said before, you should delete Quick's flesh_break sounda (Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\Half-Life Deathmatch: Source\hl1mp\sound delete the physics folder) because Valve gave us a better one. I did not know that Quick's .res files had your computer redownload these files. To delete Quick's sounds so that you have the new ones, do this:

Delete the physics folder mentioned above.

Go into your maps folder (located in hl1mp) and arrange the icons by type.

You can either delete all of the .res files or modify them. I modified them and only found the line I had to delete in the .res to dms_kitkat_palace.

If you choose to edit the .res files (you can open them with notepad), you will want to open each one and check for a line that says sound\physics\flesh_break.wav. If you find this line in any of your .res files, delete it.

If you are too lazy to do this, just delete your .res files. They will be downloaded again when they are needed.

Arrange your icons by name again if you want, and you are done .

As many of you know, HLDM:S was recently updated. Before the update, the game was missing a sound. Quick had his server set to give the missing flesh sound to all who played on his server. The sound Valve added in the update sounds better than the one you get from Quick as Quick used an old HL1 sound and the new one is a HL2 sound. For those who play or played on Quick's server before the date, I recommend deleting the sound from Quick's server. To do this, go the following directory and delete the folder named "physics":
