Thought it worthy of mention. SoM is still well known in the NS community. Ran into a chap bearing the tag SOLO.prime who had recognized our tag. The story goes he was a regular on the original NS server.

Also note NS2 is up to par with the O.G. It gives me all the nostalgia emotions in its current state I recommend giving it a try.

Having several hours of game time under my belt, I've got to say that EUIV is a fantastic sequel to EUIII. All the changes and new features (Monarch powers and totally reworked trade system to name a few) are REALLY grand. They not only allow the player more ways to customize their country's destiny and strategy, but it also prevents the ai from driving itself into the ground like in EUIII. There's some need for further ai tweeking and balancing, but it's got a lot more polish than must Paradox games release with.

If you've got a Steam backlog and can wait until a few patches come out, I'd recomend waiting for the next sale.

It goes along nice with EUIV that just came out. I quite enjoy Paradox games.
