Alright, I've made contact with Drew and many others. Lots of people agree and/or semiagree on tekkit. I figure we'd give tekkit a shot, but if people don't like it then we can just swap to vanilla.

I'll start working on it Monday, as that's the closest free day I have.

I've had experience with making servers and doing all the plugins stuff. But not going through server hosts and stuff.

I know I need some basic plugins like LWC, World Guard (?), World Edit, Essentials, Multiverse (if it's vanilla). I'm probably missing lots, but I know that many at least are essential.

Probably the first step would be Tekkit or Vanilla, then I'll start looking into plugins.

So you're thinking of paying for a server host? Personally I'd prefer all the additional stuff that is in Tekkit and last time I was playing with rem and div it was on Tekkit.

Well, depending on what everyone wants... I was almost considering a Tekkit server. But I'd be cool with just paying for a bukkit server for everyone to play on again. Not too many rules just like the old times.
