Welcome, Kopi! There should be an option in the settings under Gameplay to switch it back to Whims - you may need to restart the game for it to fully apply :)

i do feel that particular Fear is far too common. it's irritating that it isn't removed when the setting is turned off :BErage: hope they patch it soon

Yes, and the issue keeps popping up. I've drank the Fear remover potion twice and it still keeps popping up, ugh. This feels really cheesy.

I've been accumulating Simoleons for the Making Money challenge, I've got 50k and I'm at the top of the Tech Guru career, I've taken a vacation day off, and the message "it's as if her life is being controlled" message popped up. The Wants and Fears tickbox is off. Should I be worried?

That actually is a part of the fears system update, my male sims get it too. It's from micromanaging them. I believe you can switch Fears back to regular Whims in the settings

LOL. There's a feature that's bothering me lately though. At the risk of it sounding like a rant... when I was first playing the game with the toddler challenge, I played as a male, and everything was fine. Then I started playing as a female and I was constantly bombarded with "Unfulfilled dreams" moodlets, even when I've erased the likes and dislikes and aligned my aspirations with what I was doing (businesswoman with the Getting Money challenge and ranking up the ladder. I literally started getting the moodlet a day after getting promoted. insane!). Is there a way to disable this feature or am I stuck with this sexist nonsense?

i haven't had a fire in this game for ages... I feel like in TS3 my stove caught fire twice a day xD

3 at once is really difficult on this game, I struggle with 2 toddlers, even with both parents and older kids in the family to help out. in TS3 I did it all the time but MUCH harder in TS4

I like all videogames to be in Steam because it allows me to track how much time I'm playing said game. On Origin it does allow me to do that. I think it says I've played for 300ish hours. Thank you for the warm welcome.

It does seem silly to require both, but I'm glad it links the packs I already bought with my Steam version of the game :)

I'm excited that the game is available for free now. I, like others, have been played the game for years. Though I'm a bit disappointed that the Steam version requires the Origin launcher to play.

For anyone who doesn't already know, SIMS4 will be completely Free To Play beginning October 18th!!
Current owners of the game can get the new Desert Luxe (?) Kit for free through October 17th. To claim it, boot up your game and there should be an option in the main menu. ♥
