Hi Ya'll - I'm testing out the steampipe beta : halflife.sixofour.tk:27501. Most of the sourcemod scripts are working but I'm having trouble figuring out how sourcemod is mapping files to the new custom/<whatever>/ folder - particulary sounds. saysounds and taglib are still reaching into the old ob hl2mp/sounds/ directory. I haven't seen to much info in the sm forums. Could someone lend me some clue?

Server sound working fine here

Are any of you having any issues with your server sounds stopping after the last update? Ours work for the first match after a server restart then stop. We are currently using the Sourcemod SaySounds as well as Keeper Sound Streak plugins and both are affected.

steam update break your server? rename metamod, sc_protect and mattie_eventscripts from .vdf to .vdf.disabled as temporary fix until srcds or plugins are updated again

Right now, I only have a crappy internet connection, 120KBps max, but if this page turns out well, I'd be willing to setup something with more speed if if it would be good for sharing files for each other and such.

i am not a fan of server announcing admin has joined a server, as sometimes its neccessary to observe without knowing an admin is there.

Sheemer, Loki helped me set up eventscripts for when an admin enters the server, though I have not tried it for saysound-like functionality. I can send you what he sent me, though, if it will help.

I am using a modified SourceMod plugin I found here http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=624072 I don’t know of anyone that has got ES event2sounds to working yet

My main thing I am wondering about right now is that I am running all of our sounds through the Mani plugin. I know that before Orangebox our previous admin was running sounds with EventScripts and from what I saw that seemed to be the more customizeable way to go. SInce Orangebox I have yet to check for a worklng EventScripts plugin but I would like to know what everyone else is using and what they find the pros and ♥♥♥♥ to be?

Great idea guys, I know a few others that run servers too, like frank, and the guys from FF. This again is away to keep HL2 alive and well into the future. I know of a few servers that have shut down due to all the updates as many don't have the knowlege to fix all the rising issues. ORACLE
