Hello, looking for a scrapbanker please!

Sup. If you happen to come across a non crafted/genuine Original (they are droppable) be sure to let me know so we can trade and such, only weapon I'm missing right now. Cheers.

I bumped into Vintage Brass beast, Vintage Warrior spirit and Vintage Buffalo steak. Apparently those are worth REFINED or even more each?! WTF is this?!
3 Mar, 2011 @ 2:06pm
Would love to hear some thoughts on the giveaway!
25 Feb, 2011 @ 9:04am
Yh, sure, I'll take them 1:1 ;) Also, if I am online, esspecially ingame, feel free to trade me. If I cancel try again - maybe I was trading with someone else or AFK: If it says I'm away or busy, it means I am.

ALSO! I suggest. So you dont add any of us to your lists, cause friend lists are limited, I suggest that when we are open for trade, we go into group chat, it will be unlocked, and you just contact us there.

IN GENERAL- you dont need to add us, just send trade using steam profile link to trade! <<<<<<< thank you :)
25 Feb, 2011 @ 6:22am
that's pretty much the going price that I've seen.
6 Feb, 2011 @ 5:02pm
Haha, I don't think anyone'll buy that xD
Maybe 1:1 would be a fair price for vintage weapons. Dunno, what do you guys think? 1 scrap for vintage weapons in both directions?
6 Feb, 2011 @ 2:42am
I'll take vintage weapons, if its still 2:1 ;)
4 Feb, 2011 @ 6:53am
Dunno, I may, but I'm not too keen on doing it. They're just a pain to resell and I cant craft em
31 Jan, 2011 @ 9:47am
Only 'profit' I make is from tips that the people I've helped out give me. There's no greater philosophy in that. Why should I craft a perfectly good brass beast that I got as a tip than sell it cheap to someon who needs it?
31 Jan, 2011 @ 1:17am
Are you questioning "the system" now or his motives?
31 Jan, 2011 @ 1:15am
What profit??
30 Jan, 2011 @ 6:41pm
Thats exactly my point, you're taking a profit and the original bank does it for charity rather than their own trading desires.
29 Jan, 2011 @ 11:43am
Oh, and let's not forget all the people I've given advice to in trading, aka. getting the item they want but I don't have to trade them, the perfect hat for them etc. Hell, I'm even holding a hat for a friend who asked me to find a specific hat for him and I'll even trade the hat to him for the same price I got it at!
29 Jan, 2011 @ 10:55am
For my benefit? I don't think all the people I've helped would call it that.

Look man, if you think this is some big con or something don't be. It's just a service, players apprechiate it a lot so they give me tips in more valuable weapons which I can then sell and make a tiny profit.
They know they're giving me something more valuable, hell one guy gave me a paint! But it's the service they appreciate, that they've been helped out when they needed some metal fast or lacked the most basic weapons.

And that image, I've ended up crafting the CaCs into a scrap =P

No one's forcing people to trade with me or anyone in my bank, so why the angry face? =)
29 Jan, 2011 @ 10:53am
Ppl like trades like this cause they cant match the weapons they have to create scrap. (esspecialy tokens!) There is where we jump in and help them out. That is it. There is no bigger philosophy behind this, Simply Lemonade.
29 Jan, 2011 @ 10:38am
No one complains except me because no one knows about this except me. Because you deleted my previous comment. Call it what you want, you're misusing the idea for your own personal benefit and in my mind thats wrong.
29 Jan, 2011 @ 10:35am
Hello everybody! I've been doing scrap for weapons 1:2 by myself for a while, so decided to join in here and help webBug out. Feel free to trade me. ;) xoxo
29 Jan, 2011 @ 10:28am
I said I've done the 300 bank trades in less than 2 weeks. And it is relevant cause no one seems to complain except you. Someone who I've never even traded with. Yes, I'll sell the weapons. But at a fair price.

I think when someone trades me weapons understands that the weapons they traded me are worth a bit more than waht they traded them to me for, but like I said in my previous overly long reply, it's considered a tip.

Love it or hate it. =P
29 Jan, 2011 @ 9:50am
you're not stealing, but you ARE misusing the true concept of a bank. I was posting something COMPLETELY RELEVANT. Not someone else, YOU. YOU misusing the true fairness idea of 2:1 scrap and 1:1 wep. I'll post my picture again of Web Bug's profit trade: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/1205/stitched.jpg

Also, i've done a hell of a lot more than 300 trades. I don't see how that was relevant.
28 Jan, 2011 @ 6:10pm
Hmm, you seem like a cool candidate for a 'mod' banker but I'll have to have a talk with ya directly on steam. So invite friends if you dont have me already and we'll talk. Also, I've gotten a suggestion of 'merging' with another similar group with around 120 members. I'll still have to think about it but it may be a good idea.
28 Jan, 2011 @ 5:21pm
This might be self imposing, but I could be your secondary banker :P

I keep all weapons, and only sell em when asked (the customer gives me the prices he wants to pay). I expanded my backpack a while ago (all the way to 1000!) for the purpose of holding all these weapons, so I'd have no reason to craft em to scrap. At the very least, I could act as storage space. You can look at my backpack for some evidence of this.
I am quite active, so you won't see me offline days at a time.

If I defect, I guess you could always send everyone against me and stop any and all trades I try to make or something :O

This is of course entirely your choice, but I figured I'd let you know about me. ;)
27 Jan, 2011 @ 5:31pm
Yes, I'm not worried about that, what worries me is how will the person act when someone gives him more valuable weps. Will he craft them (acceptable but not smart)? Trade them for much lower price than the market to someone who needs the weapon (this is what I want from an associate)? Or will he jack up the price and maybe even scam someone for a price higher than the market's (completely intolerable)?

As you can see. It's not the exchange that's the problem, it's what the banker will do with the acquired items that counts. Also he'd have to follow this group and advertise it.
27 Jan, 2011 @ 5:20pm
I don't see why you have to be able to trust them that much. After all, the person trading with them could just cancel if the corrupt banker is raising his prices or not following the rules. Everyone knows the prices are 2 weps for a scrap and 1 token for a scrap.
27 Jan, 2011 @ 2:55pm
What a great idea!
26 Jan, 2011 @ 9:27am
@Special Agent Brown
I am thinking about getting another scrap banker in the bank, but it would have to be someone who I can trust and who will follow my rules in the bank. So yea, you must see how hard it may be for me to find someone who'll do this with me.

Maybe I'll ask my brother, that may work =)
26 Jan, 2011 @ 2:29am
Since the answer is true. I'm not stealing from anyone. To hell, I could earn a ton more metal and stuff by ripping off 12 year olds.

I had to do around 300 single trades in order to get the current amount of metal in the bank.

And people give me extra weapons and better weps because they like the service and am almost always there. Except maybe this week, haven't been on my pc for 3 days now...

Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I'm not making anyone give me extra, and If I do get extra, I'll sell it for less than it goes on the trading sites. Everyone's happy. The person got the service and gave me a tip, I made a tiny profit and someone got the weapon he wanted cheap.

I deleted your comment since you were providing evidence on an example of someone else completely untwisted to this bank. He might have gone ripping people off. But I do not.

Oh btw. Still have to give away the prizes for the weekly challenge.
25 Jan, 2011 @ 8:52am
Why'd you remove my comment? I was trying to show these people something important.
24 Jan, 2011 @ 3:39pm
Webbug maybe you should allow other people to become a banker at the bank since you're not always online.
22 Jan, 2011 @ 11:27am
Made my day with that offer xD
20 Jan, 2011 @ 6:19pm
Don't quite understand what you just said m8, but I'll take it as a compliment =)

Also, what do you think would be the fair price to sell a single old weapon at?
19 Jan, 2011 @ 4:45pm
kk, anyways, this scrap shop, I worship this, 3:1 is bad, 2:1 is good, as you see, being here is the awesome thing.
18 Jan, 2011 @ 2:33pm
Neato! I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this :)
Though you've done a better job by making a group for it. Many kudos to you and your trading endeavors! (bonus points for the awesome vids)
18 Jan, 2011 @ 2:12pm
The standard price for a normal vintage weapon is 1 or 2 scraps. Except for the Vintage Crit-a-cola : with some people, the price can go to 1 refined.
@webBug : it was a good idea to create this group. Thanks. :)
18 Jan, 2011 @ 12:55pm
question
how much is a vintage weapon?
18 Jan, 2011 @ 12:43pm
you're a cool dude
sometimes, i get like 7 random weapons and i can't craft them.
and then i offer them all for something worth 2 scraps and they still won't take.
17 Jan, 2011 @ 3:25pm
good idea, very helpful
17 Jan, 2011 @ 1:53pm
I said you may, not that you will =P
But we'll see, maybe you get a discount or something ^^
17 Jan, 2011 @ 1:48pm

17 Jan, 2011 @ 12:54pm

You just may get a present xD
