I've been playing Rust Experimental the last few weeks just to see how it has progressed. I do like where Rust is going, but they wipe the servers so much now it's pointless to try to build up anything only to find your work is gone two days later. I'll continue to keep an eye on Rust's development and make a determination after the game is farther along and wipes are less frequent. So far they've managed to keep much of the same formula in the new game. Resources are easier to come by and stretch a lot farther than before. Building is different but better in my opinion. It has promise, so keep your eyes peeled as the game progresses.

Coming in the next couple days will be server changes that will incorporate a "Wild West" feel.

I'll be resetting the server many times in the next few days to test air drop loot, rad loot and zombie loot.

Changes:

*Server wipe (after loot tables are where I want them)
*Homemade and low-end weapons (bow, revolver) become the mainstays.
*Weapons and armor from 9mm to M4/Bolt Action and Leather to Kevlar are going to have varying degrees of rarity.
*I may remove the high-end weapons and armor from the loot tables completely for several months so that they are not in play... giving time for the low-end weapons to become valid and useful.
*Air drops will contain gravy loot like planks, ammo and chicken breasts. Rares being metal, explosive charges and the odd inserted weapon progression (i.e. enabling 9mm down the road, then shotgun, then MP5A and so on). Air drops will happen once or twice a day and on the admin's whim, just to mix things up.
*Not knowing whether air drops will contain a rare weapon or not makes seeking out air drops for progression something you will need to do...and will force PVP. Your neighbor may be your friend, but it's each man for himself when it comes to loot.
*I may disable blueprints altogether at the start... and force research of weaposn you loot... thus prolonging the end game.

An attempt was made to fix ghost/desync
Fall damage & suicide exploit fixed
Reduced lag when entering areas with lots of objects in them (big structures)
Rubber banding/network correction is a bit smarter
Laser/Flashlight on bolt action rifle/revolver are now fixed and point forward
