Hello All,

I know it's been many a year since our old server shut down. Life kicked in and took it's toll on a few of us and we had to vacate for real-world issues.

We have reopened a Rust Server. You all are welcome to return and see all the new things that are available. We also have a Discord channel now, https://discord.gg/wq4AHY6qHC

Currently we are still PVP, and have added in quite a few mods that are listed on the Discord.

Decay is Back On For A Bit.

Ok guys,

Since we have such an issue with massive wooden structures, Decay is turned back on. It will help keep the world a little less cluttered. If you want to keep having massive compounds you will have to work a little bit at maintaining them. Seems a bit fair for the moment.

Memory Usage and Lag

Hello all,

So I just got off the phone with Multiplay(our host provider) trying to find ways to reduce our lag. Unfortunately it's due to our houses so....we have 3 options.

1 - People start removing unneeded parts of their buildings and limit the number of houses they have to 1 or 2.

2 - I reactivate house decay.

3 - We do a server wipe and start fresh.

I would love to avoid a wipe, so I'm going to ask everyone to please voluntarily start doing #1. Remove any unneeded parts of your homes and/or extra homes that you don't even use.

If we are still experiencing this lag next Monday, I will have to resort to turning decay back on.

People Screaming about Cheating

Alright folks, listen up please.

Almost 3 months ago I opened this server, with the add-ons that are installed, in the hopes of creating a fun place that people could play on that didn't have all the things those nasty servers had. When you log out to sleep and wake up in the morning your house wasn't gone, you weren't killed, and you didn't basically have to start over from scratch.

I have tried to make this server as strong, accomodating, and open as it can be. Lately I have had people claiming others are "Hacker's" or from those very same people that are being called Hackers claiming that there is "Admin Abuse" going on.

Saturday when I woke up, I had messages from FIVE players that Legends, Chidoriy, and zHt... were hackers. The reasons people claimed these three were cheating was because they wouldn't die, and because one of them shot up into another players house and killed him.

Well, after having the player files checked for flags, corruption, or tampering there was nothing. I don't ban someone for being suspected of something without proof.

Then, throughout the whole morning and afternoon Legends and his friends were able to kill several people repeatedly. Never once dying himself. He racked up 19 pkills. Later in the day two players raided Legend's house. I was watching it. Those two players killed Legend and Chidoriy twice. I didn't shoot them. Those players raided the houses and made off with the loot.

Guess what happened? Legend starts screaming about Admin Abuse. But guess what? I didn't kill him. And *I* am the ONLY Admin. He was claiming godmode was used. It was not. Why is it so hard for him, who killed 19 people all day long without dying, to believe someone else could kill him? Because he's a crybaby. He wants to be able to kill you all, but if you kill him instead you are going to be cheating, you have to be, I mean noone can kill him ever fairly right?

So, here's where we stand as a Server.
1 - I have never used godmode in combat. I only use godmode to help brand new players, to moderate arenas, or when a group of us are just goofing off(usually only with Electronn or Jpshieux because we don't mind shooting each other) In fact, jpshieux, Tracka000, Ashocktroop, Electronn, Velathari, dragon, they can all tell you about how they have actually killed me in game.
2 - I have never created items for myself or anyone else, except as Arena Prizes or replacements. I have used the commands to replace the gear a person lost during a server crash, but that was it.
3 - This is a PvP game. The WHOLE concept is to fight and survive. If you kill others, and you get killed, tough shit. It's part of the game.
4 - If you don't like it, you are free to play elsewhere. I will no longer tolerate the disrespect, the false accusations, or the harassment that is going on by these individuals. I WILL kick and ban anyone going forward who is nasty and wrongly accusing people. If you have a concern about something, you can reach me privately very easily. Public displays of disrespect will now result in you being punished.

This is a game. It is meant to be played and to have fun. If YOU are the reason a larger portion of players are no longer having fun, then I will remove you from the equation so they can get back to enjoying their gameplay.

Decay Controller - Turning it on for a bit.

Hello All,

As of Tonight, Satuday 4-12-14, I will be turning the Decay on housing back on for about 1 week long. This is to clear out all the old houses of the 81 player files I had to delete to try and cut back on lag.

On Friday I will turn Decay back off and all things will go back to normal hopefully.

Bans, Hacking, and the events of Sunday(4-6-14) night.

So apparently last night, Sunday, April 6th 2014, three individuals logged onto the server and began a killing spree. It has been alleged that these individuals were hackers and were surviving point blank shotgun blasts with cloth armor on as well as more than six .556 rounds center mass. This was reported to me by no less than 5 players who were on at the time.

I temporarily banned all three last evening while I researched the information I had available.

I have reviewed their player files, their settings, their in-game flags, and after scrutinizing them all I have found only one issue. A single player, who has been banned currently, had the "All" flag which granted Rcon(admin) access to the controls of the game. Now, I am the ONLY individual who can grant these flags from our side, so this leads me to believe that something occured to grant this individual this ability.

Of the three, AnonymouZ, Juniho, and worstrelic, only worstrelic had the rcon access. Whether his friends may or may not have known he possessed it, if it was being used, or even if anything was different than normal I do not know.

Because of this, I will be looking to speak with AnonymouZ and Juniho personally and find out exactly what is going on. Should more issues arise that cause player problems more bans will continue.

If this type of incident happens again or becomes a more severe concern, if I have to I will whitelist the game so that only members of the Steam Group can join it, and those wishing would have to be invited by a current player. This is something I do NOT want to do. And I currently believe it is a measure we will not have to take.

New Folks Playing

We've recently had a nice little influx of new players. We had 4 new folks start up on Thursday afternoon, and another 5 come on Saturday night. If they stick around that will bring out numbers up to 44. 6 from the max on at once.

Bring your friends, get the server populated so much I have to buy the next 50 login slots!

Quick Server Info Update

Hello All,

I know it has been a brief bit since I posted an announcement, but I wanted to share that we have hit our 1 month up mark. I have just renewed our server lease for another month, so we have another 32 days of guarunteed uptime.

I have however noticed our player numbers have dropped by half overal, and down to about 2-3 average. I understand that there are literally over 2,981 servers out there. But here's the thing. Our's is the coolest.

I don't want anyone to feel obligated or awkward about this, but without a rise in players the game gets a little dull. We need players of all types. Peaceful, Violent, Explorative, Builders, Raiders, etc etc to keep the interesting spark going.

So I am going to ask all of you, if you enjoy playing Rust on our server, please please PLEASE try and bring your friends and/or other people you know to it. We can have tons more fun with more players.

Variety is the spice of life, and stagnancy leads to death.

So please, spread word about the server. Pass out our IP addy, mention the addons we use and the No-Sleepers, Instacraft, No-Durability(this is a BIG one) etc. Let's get more new faces!!

Missed Event

I am very very sorry that we missed the event last night. From 1pm eastern yesterday until now I was unavailable due to a personal issue that has since been rectified.
