The kicking is not Steams fault. It's Tripwire who can't form coherent thoughts, and implement stupid ♥♥♥♥. I've actually never met a hacker in a RO2 match (apart from artillery spam), and even if I did, it would be no problem to votekick him. I really don't see the use for a profile VAC-scan. I have contacted Tripwire, but I doubt they will do anything about it. All they see is "VAC ban" and then they refuse to do anything whatsoever. I swear, people who have VAC-bans are hated more than skinheads and The Westboro Baptist Church combined.
At least I can play via Family Share, but without my hard-earned rank and weapon upgrades. Starting from the bottom as meat for the grinder. Maybe the grind won't be as bad since I've been through it before. Who knows.

Filthy hacker scum you got what you deserve. Just foolin, Sorry to hear that but I would strongly recommend you do everything you can to contact steam support since the terms of you getting kicked is fuzzy. It states that getting VAC banned from a game won't ban you from other games but since the servers in RO2 are not owned or run by steam then they can ban you for whatever reason they want. But the terms of you getting kick is because the server checks your profile to see if you have a vac bans.

Well, I can play now via Family Sharing with my second account. Still sucks that I have fallen from my glorious rank 68 to square one.

Just wait until some server hosts turn it off, afaik it should be a server setting but as of last patch its on by default.

So, I can't play anymore. I have a VAC ban from over 4 years ago when I randomly joined a modded MW2 Lobby, and now I get kicked from every server for it. 140 hours down the drain...

I'll make 2 groups next time, my clan wouldn't have been very happy if I added a dozen people they've never met before with <10 hours.
