Hi, long time no see! :)

So, I've come a long way since Retrobution and I figured I'd give this old dying group an update. I've come up with a new concept game, Nebula, which can't be discussed in full detail yet, as it's closed-source and under development, but I can say who's developing it.

Myself and a few others are a studio under Icarus International, which is funding and managing the rights to the game. We're always looking for more people, so drop me a line on Steam if you're interested. (C# coders only please, other artists and designers welcome as well.)

working on a new game. got an experimental tile engine running. game is an open world/building/survival/adventure/exploration/action/adventure/sci-fi/space exploration/space combat/resource management/strategy game.

Long time no see. How are you, let's do lunch.

My father gave me some wise words to live by, and for the sake of privacy I won't state them. But let's just assume they've been centered around morales and humanitarian values, alright? That's simple enough for everyone.

But what about when those words are centered around creation. What if everything you thought of was centered on creation? Ideas, thoughts, patterns, whatever. What of them? What do you make of them once you have them? Do you make lemons into lemonade or do you roll with the wind and follow that idea, that thought, that pattern, and see where it leads?

The entire concept of an idea to us may be as common as setting your foot on the ground, but remember: You had to experience something for that idea to form. Whether it be a once-and-a-lifetime experience or a single moment of something repetitive, you had an inspiration. You had a flicker of imagination that brought your brain into a total detour. And then what? Do you run with it?

Yes, you do.

What good comes out of it now? Do you have motivation? If you're serious about an idea, you do. If not, it is simply scrap in your eyes and you toss it away like crumpled paper. But what if in that one moment, you had nothing else on your mind. Your life, your job, your family, friends, neighbors, even your damn pets. Your head was clear. Do you enact said idea and bring it to life?

Yes, you do.

So, you have the concept. You have the model. You have that singular "object" in your mind that allows you to function as you have been throughout this process. What do you do next? You throw it. You throw it long, and you throw it far, and perhaps somebody will catch it and throw it back, following in your footsteps. Then that person throws a copy over to another, hoping that they'll catch it, and a chain reaction goes through the entire rift of society. Ripples form, variations, all interpreting this one simple concept in different ways, and the end result... is something beautiful. Something that is a work of art, something that is unique specifically to that process, that transfer of information, and that set of ideals that that particular person has in their head.

It's like a miracle.

So then what do you do when this information network has been passed on? Well, you build. You start forming new, complex ideas that use the old as the base. You start a foundation, you go further and further, hoping others will continue to follow in your footsteps so long as you can push forward, and even if you can't, you'll find a way to do so. Once you have followers, once you have a SET you can work with, similar ideas brewing around in a thinktank, then you have a change. Then, you have a substance, you have an object, you have a product that came from your head and your head only, you just distributed the information. And that information was free, free as the air you breathed to circulate your lungs to provide your body with oxygen so you could live.

The information was free.

And these, these are the words that my father taught me to live by. These are the ideals that I chase, whether you see them in light or not. And they give birth to ideas in my head that I haven't even processed yet. Things that people on the streets would tilt their heads at, or yell at me for hours on the physics of ideas and copyright, when they would be doing nothing but preaching to a choir. But that information, that singular substance, that object that I gave them in those single seconds of exchange, was free.

And perhaps, that's what needs to be now.
