ACTA passed months ago. It's pretty much all the previous bills rolled up into one. And just like that one bill that lets the government detain american citizens for an unlimited amount of time without cause "or ever having to contact said citizen's family again" this never got any media attention. No one cared that their rights where being stripped away because the general public still gets all their news from the TV networks owned by the same companies that not only signed onto all these bills but helped make modern piracy tools popular on their websites in the early 00's and also promoted piracy of rival companie's work. Yep, They are throwing single moms and college kids in prison for using software these companies promoted themselves before recent years. And Judges are tards when it comes to the internet and automatically agree to anything feed to them by these major media companies who want nothing more than to stop the little guy from making his own living online without them.

Please, if you find a SOPA supporter, put this on their profile; "*-Repost if- *
*-The person in the profile is a douche, and doesn't have a brain-*
*-Or if it's a SOPA supporter, same thing-*"

@[xG:M:V] Nivek_Relyk [ĐC] -- It isn't about what this bill is intended to do, but it is about the unconstitutional powers that this bill will give to the American Government. This is a blatent disregard for our privacy. Basically, the government will only have to have an excuse to shut someone down. The excuse can be anything. The freeflow of communication is the truest form of democracy -- DO NOT LET THEM TAKE IT FROM YOU.

All anti SOPA groups should collaborate. If we don't concentrate in one group we will have 100 small groups with less than 100 members which is not optimal Please all of you creators of these groups put aside admin rights and do this right. For internet!

@Nivek

But if they stop piracy,how can I test before I buy!?

Piff,like EA and the likes will give free full testers (not demos,and not as limited as 30 minutes,give us at least two days)

This law is the beginning of the end.It has to be put in the ground forever
Nivek 13 Jan, 2012 @ 9:09pm
ars in prison for 10 such infringements within six months. The bill also gives immunity to Internet services that voluntarily take action against websites dedicated to infringement, while making liable for damages any copyright holder who knowingly misrepresents that a website is dedicated to infringement
Nivek 13 Jan, 2012 @ 9:08pm
ok so have any of you acctually read the sopa bill? js, because its a bill to stop online PIRACY and COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, it will more than likely NOT touch steam, maybe affect a few social webs sites, but is for sure aimed at any pirated movie/music websites. This excerpt is taken directly from wikepedia, ik they can mess with it but it is what it is, The originally proposed bill would allow the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as copyright holders, to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. Depending on who requests the court orders, the actions could include barring online advertising networks and payment facilitators such as PayPal from doing business with the allegedly infringing website, barring search engines from linking to such sites, and requiring Internet service providers to block access to such sites. The bill would make unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content a crime, with a maximum penalty of five years

This pretty much acts as a petition, if say two thousand people joni and jonied because they believe this bill is wrong, people will start to see theres a reason for this.
Waffles 4 Jan, 2012 @ 3:33pm
You don't find a problem with SOPA. What?
Waffles 1 Jan, 2012 @ 10:01pm
