2K Games just released a blog post concerning the remastered PC versions of BioShock and BioShock 2.

It seems those remasters will be separate titles in Steam's library, which means the multiplayer will still be playable on the older version.

Jivko. steam will do the same thing as always they do.
they will remove the original game. so there's not 2 same games on steam
this is not a game of the year thing. where you can still buy the base game
this is a remastered thing. and for steam is not the same thing
but we can only wait and see about who is right

So is gonna be ok cuz BioShock:The Collection will not include BioShock 2 multiplayer. and also bio2 multiplayer is separate game from mian game

Well,even if they remove the original game from steam store. We wont lose much we have good player base anyway, so multiplayer will be fine

well when a steam game get a remastered version.
steam will remove the original version form the store.
and since it will be free for people who have the original.
i guesses it will update the game as a normal steam game update.

I wonder if we lose the original games after we upgrade to the remastered versions for free. If we do lose the originals, that means we lose the Multiplayer too :( No MP in the remastered version.

I just hope it won't ♥♥♥♥♥ up multiplayer...

is realy strange why people want bioshock 1 and 2 to be remastered, what they need to remastered from Unreal 2.5+Unreal 3 notting game looks amazing the way it is. 2007 still hold today the best looking games ever made.

Let's hope that they are more adequate than it seems, and follow Bethesda example with Skyrim remaster (free for PC owners, full price for current-gen consoles)

And 60 USD, just to play the 2 first games, the only ones interesting, is way too much for many
