MAY 6 @ 4:00PM - SPEARCHUCKER JONES
As some of you know, I'm moving to Denver on May 16th. I was hoping we could have a last time LAN at my place before I blow this popsicle stand!
My place is mostly empty because I've sold most of my furniture, but I still have folding tables and chairs. My 100" projector screen is also still hanging on the wall, if that interests anybody.
BYOC, BYOB, we'll probably do a community pool for food, pizza or something. Unfortunately, I already sold my grill to Austin, so no tasty burgers. :(
I posted those discussion threads months ago to get some ideas and opinions and they didn't really go anywhere. As I said, I'm down for any sort of social interaction, be it computers, games, or otherwise. Just hit me up if you guys wanna hang out at my place or yours.
Get hype!
Console stuff is an option, too. I know Sean B. is heavily into fight games and drunken Mario Kart is always fun. I've got just about every ROM known to man set up on my projector. I don't have an Xbox or PlayStation but people would be welcome to bring theirs. I do, however, have a Wii U with Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World.
And while we're on the subject, I plan to pre-order Smash Bros. Wii U for its November 21st launch. Would anyone be interested in getting together that day or the following weekend for a friendly Smash tourny?
Also, there's always my place if there's not enough room at yours. I know, Pueblo West blah blah blah, but Chaos has some strange folks hanging out there at times. I've heard some stories from friends who attended card/board game tournaments there. Also, I doubt John would be ok with drinking/smoking/etcetera at his place of business, but I don't mind. I also have the projector system set up for consoles or that we could maybe do some Artemis on. It looked pretty fun at LANFest.
As for the 24th, planning to play some Beyond Earth at my place or Sean B.'s either that night or the following Saturday. I know Austin is interested, anybody else? So far its me, Austin, Sean B., and Laura. Hamachi/Tunngle is an option too.
