Finally got proper controller, now I need to figure out how to setup retroarch on mobile for advanced emulation because it's not steam version that will work fine out of box and only requires changing like 1-2 settings for decreasing latency
One thing I can say though, is that even on mobile it automatically spots and configures controllers to work out of box

I recently ordered myself 8bitdo m30 though, so I'll be capable of enjoying some vertical (also known as TATE) titles on my arcade emulators via MAME soon, heard people playing in similar way on switch too

Meanwhile, I'll use the trick that makes dodging on touchscreen much easier, and that trick is putting dpad on right side of screen alongside additional button for toggling shooting: this way, you can dodge stuff, all while keeping finger on bomb key in case patterns become too hard to dodge
