A small suggestion: Maybe let's use announcements to check who's eager to play a game? I mean, I haven't seen a rule prohibing people from making announcements, but I think it'll work better than just suddenly spamming invites or asking people for a game out of the blue. Making announcements to get people works really well in groups dedicated to other games (Left 4 Dead, for instance).
