Today marks the 300th year after the death of Carolus Rex, The boy king of Sweden. By 1697 Sweden was one of the worlds power houses; however, the king died leaving his 14 year old son on the throne. That boy is Carolus Rex, he took on three other political powers Poland, Danmark, and Russia. Sadly his reign ended when he was shot in the head during a seige. To this day no one knows if it was an ally or an enemy that killed him, but as a result Sweden lost its statues as a world power.
